Skin Botox in Busan

#FineLineCare · #PoreTightening · #SkinTexture · #KeepYourExpression

Skin Botox places diluted botulinum toxin in very shallow injections into the skin. It refines fine lines, pores and texture together while keeping your expressions natural, for a smoother, firmer-looking surface.

Quick answer: Skin Botox (also called micro-Botox or dermotoxin) is diluted botulinum toxin injected in many shallow points into the skin rather than the muscle, to refine pores, fine lines and oiliness while keeping expressions natural. At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, it takes about 10–20 minutes after 20–30 minutes of numbing cream, with no downtime. Results usually last about 2–3 months. Packages start from KRW 150,000 (excl. 10% VAT).

What is Skin Botox?

Standard Botox is injected into muscles to stop strong movement. Skin Botox uses a more diluted botulinum toxin placed superficially in the dermis. There it mainly affects the tiny muscles and glands in the skin, which can make pores look smaller, reduce shine and soften fine crepey lines.

Because the deeper muscles are largely untouched, your expressions stay natural. Skin Botox is often added to lifting or booster treatments such as Ulthera, Thermage FLX or Rejuran Healer. Art of Shine Clinic uses Korean-made toxin in several packages.

How Skin Botox works

Diluted toxin placed in the upper skin relaxes the fine muscle fibres attached to the skin and may reduce oil and sweat gland activity. The result is a smoother surface, less visible pores and softer fine lines, without freezing facial expressions.

  1. Consultation: your doctor reviews your pores, texture and fine lines, then numbing cream is applied.
  2. Injection: many tiny, shallow injections are spread evenly across the face or chosen area.
  3. After: small bumps settle quickly and you can return to your day.

Why patients choose Skin Botox

  • Keeps expressions natural — works in the skin rather than deep muscles.
  • Several concerns at once — pores, fine lines, texture and shine.
  • No downtime — small bumps usually settle within hours.
  • Pairs well — often combined with lifting and skin-booster treatments.

Who is Skin Botox for — and when we suggest something else

Good candidates

  • You have visible pores and fine crepey lines across the cheeks or forehead.
  • Your skin looks oily and uneven, and makeup does not sit smoothly.
  • You want a smoother surface without changing how your face moves.
  • You want to add skin refinement to a lifting session such as Ulthera or Thermage.
  • You need care with no downtime before an event or a flight.

We may suggest something else if…

  • Your lines are deep and caused by strong movement, such as frown lines. Standard Botox into the muscle suits better.
  • Your main concern is dryness and dullness. Water Glow Injection focuses on hydration.
  • You have acne scars or deep texture. Treatments like Potenza work on scarring.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an active skin infection on the face. Treatment should wait.

What happens at your Skin Botox session in Seomyeon

  1. Message us on WhatsApp first. Send a clear photo of your skin in daylight. Tell us whether pores, fine lines or oiliness bother you most.
  2. Consultation with Dr. Park. Dr. Park checks pore size, oil, skin thickness and fine lines. She decides which zones to treat, such as full face or eye area.
  3. Preparation & numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes. The skin is then cleansed and prepared.
  4. The treatment. Many tiny, shallow injections are placed across the area in about 10–20 minutes. You will feel light pricking and some stinging.
  5. Out the door & follow-up. You can return to daily life immediately. Small bumps usually fade within hours; check in with us if you have questions after a week or two.

How Dr. Park plans your Skin Botox treatment

Shallow, not deep

Standard toxin goes into muscle. Skin Botox is a diluted toxin placed very shallowly in the skin. It targets fine surface lines and oil activity rather than strong expression muscles.

Choosing the zone

Our packages show how flexible this is. Skin Botox can cover the full face, or only the eye area in our Eye Oligio X 100 Shots + Eye Rejuran 1cc combination. Dr. Park avoids areas where it could affect your smile.

Combining and spacing

It pairs well with lifting such as Ulthera 300 or 600 Shots, or Thermage 600 or 900 Shots. Results last about 2–3 months, so repeats are planned every 2–3 months.

Skin Botox results: what to expect and when

  • Days 1–3: small injection bumps settle; skin may feel slightly tighter.
  • Week 1–2: pores look finer, oiliness may reduce and texture looks smoother.
  • Weeks 2–4: the full effect is usually visible.
  • Months 2–3: the effect gradually fades; repeat to maintain (varies by person).

Side effects, risks and who should avoid Skin Botox

Skin Botox is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:

  • Small bumps, redness or pinpoint bruising at injection points (usually settles within hours to a few days)
  • Mild tenderness or a feeling of tightness
  • Rarely, temporary change in smile or expression if toxin spreads to deeper muscles
  • Rarely, an allergic reaction

Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have a neuromuscular disorder (such as myasthenia gravis); have an infection or active inflammation at the injection site; or are allergic to any ingredient. Tell your doctor about all medications, especially blood thinners.

Skin Botox vs Botox, Juvelook Skin and Water Glow Injection: which should you choose?

These options all improve skin texture, but by very different routes.

Treatment How it works Best for Downtime Results last
Skin Botox Diluted toxin placed shallowly in the skin Pores, oiliness and fine lines None; back to daily life immediately Approx. 2–3 months
Botox Botulinum toxin type A; relaxes the targeted muscle Expression lines and jaw contouring None; back to daily life immediately Approx. 3–6 months
Juvelook Skin PDLLA and HA booster that stimulates collagen Texture, pores and lines over time Mild swelling or marks for 1–2 days Varies; 3+ sessions recommended
Water Glow Injection Hyaluronic acid delivered evenly into the skin Dry, dull skin and fine lines Mild swelling or marks for 1–2 days Varies; 3+ sessions recommended

Choose Skin Botox if you want a quick, no-downtime surface refinement for pores and oil. Choose Botox for deeper expression lines. Choose Juvelook Skin or Water Glow Injection when you want collagen or hydration built over a course.

Aftercare after Skin Botox

  • For about 3–4 hours, avoid lying down or rubbing the treated area.
  • On the day of treatment, skip saunas, hot baths, hard exercise and alcohol.
  • Do not massage or press firmly on the treated area.
  • Temporary swelling, bruising or soreness may occur and usually settles on its own.
  • Results and how long they last vary with your skin condition and lifestyle.

Downtime after Skin Botox, and flying home

Right after treatment you may see a pattern of tiny bumps. They usually flatten within a few hours. Slight redness or a small bruise is possible. Keep upright and do not rub your face for 3–4 hours. Skip the sauna, jjimjilbang, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise for the rest of the day. Light makeup is usually fine later that day or the next morning.

The smoother surface tends to appear over several days. You can sightsee straight away and fly as planned. If you combine it with lifting or boosters, tell Dr. Park your flight date so the full plan fits your trip. See our aftercare tips for travellers.

Does Skin Botox really shrink pores?

It can make pores look smaller, but it does not remove them. Skin Botox may reduce oil activity and relax tiny muscles near the skin surface. Together, these can make pores appear tighter and the surface smoother. The effect is usually modest and temporary, lasting about 2–3 months. Pores caused by sagging or scarring respond less. In those cases Dr. Park may suggest pairing it with a collagen treatment. Your skin type and oil level also affect results. Daily sunscreen and gentle oil control at home help the result last longer.

Can Skin Botox be done with Ulthera or Thermage on the same day?

Yes, this is a common combination. Our lifting packages pair Skin Botox with Ultherapy 300 or 600 Shots, or Thermage 600 or 900 Shots. Lifting devices work on deeper layers to tighten. Skin Botox works at the surface on pores and fine lines. Together, they address different layers in one visit. Dr. Park decides the order and checks that your skin can tolerate both. If you are flying soon after, mention it so she can plan the session sensibly. Expect a slightly longer visit when two treatments are combined.

Will Skin Botox change my facial expressions?

It is designed not to. The toxin is diluted and placed shallowly, not into the main expression muscles. That is why your smile and brow movement should feel normal. Placement still matters. Around the mouth and lower cheeks, too much toxin could affect your smile. Dr. Park adjusts the zones for this reason. If you want deep frown lines treated as well, she will plan standard toxin for those areas separately. If you have had toxin before, share the date and areas. That avoids overlapping doses in the same zone.

Skin Botox FAQ
