Hyperhidrosis Botox in Busan
#ForExcessiveSweating · #UnderarmSweating · #Hand&FootSweating · #ConfidenceBoost
Hyperhidrosis Botox calms overactive sweat glands to reduce sweating in areas such as the underarms, hands or feet. Botulinum toxin blocks the nerve signals that switch sweat glands on, so you can feel more comfortable and confident day to day.
Quick answer: Hyperhidrosis Botox is a botulinum toxin injection that reduces excessive sweating by blocking the nerve signals that activate sweat glands in the underarms, palms or soles. At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, it takes about 15–20 minutes after 20–30 minutes of numbing cream, and you can return to normal activities straight away. Results usually last about 6–9 months, varying by person. Pricing depends on the area and dose, so ask us for a quote.

What is Hyperhidrosis Botox?
Hyperhidrosis means sweating more than the body needs to cool down, often in the underarms, hands or feet. Botulinum toxin type A injected into the skin of these areas temporarily blocks acetylcholine, the chemical messenger that tells sweat glands to work.
It is a non-surgical option that does not remove sweat glands, so the effect is temporary and can be repeated. The same medicine is used in Botox for wrinkles and in Body Botox for contouring, but here it is placed shallowly in a grid pattern over the sweating area. Art of Shine Clinic doses it for your area and sweat level.
How Hyperhidrosis Botox works
Sweat glands are switched on by nerve signals. Botulinum toxin injected just under the skin temporarily blocks these signals, so the treated glands produce much less sweat until the nerve endings recover over several months.
- Consultation: your doctor confirms the area and severity, and may mark the sweating zone; numbing cream is applied.
- Injection: small doses are placed in a grid of shallow injections across the area.
- After: you can go straight back to your day; sweating reduces over the following days.
Why patients choose Hyperhidrosis Botox
- Targets the cause — blocks the nerve signals that activate sweat glands.
- Several areas — can be used for underarms, palms, soles and other zones.
- Long-lasting for a toxin — results often last around half a year or more.
- No surgery or downtime — a short appointment with no recovery period.
Who is Hyperhidrosis Botox for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- Underarm sweat marks your clothes even on cool days or at rest.
- Sweaty palms make handshakes, writing or phone use awkward.
- Sweaty feet make shoes slippery or uncomfortable.
- Strong antiperspirants have not been enough, or they irritate your skin.
- You want to reduce sweating without surgery and with no downtime.
- You are also bothered by underarm sweat odor.
We may suggest something else if…
- Your sweating started suddenly, happens at night, or affects your whole body. A medical check for an underlying cause should come first.
- You want to slim the shoulder or calf line rather than reduce sweat. Body Botox targets muscle instead.
- Your main underarm concern is hair, not sweat. Laser hair removal may be the better fit.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a neuromuscular disorder, or have skin infection in the area. Treatment should wait.
What happens at your Hyperhidrosis Botox session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Tell us which areas sweat most (underarms, palms or soles), how long it has been a problem, and your travel dates.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. Dr. Park asks when and where you sweat and checks your health history. She confirms the treatment area and dose.
- Preparation & numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes. The treatment zone may be mapped on the skin before injecting.
- The treatment. Many tiny injections are placed just under the skin over about 15–20 minutes. Underarms feel like light pinches; palms and soles are more sensitive.
- Out the door & follow-up. You can return to daily life immediately. Sweat reduction builds over the following days; message us in about two weeks with an update.
How Dr. Park plans your Hyperhidrosis Botox treatment
Hyperhidrosis Botox treats the skin, not a muscle. Toxin is placed in a grid of small points just under the skin, where the sweat glands sit. It blocks the nerve signal that tells those glands to sweat.
The dose and grid depend on the size of your sweating area. Underarms, palms and soles are planned differently. Palms need extra care, because grip strength in the hands must be protected.
Results usually last about 6–9 months. Retreatment is recommended every 6–9 months, when you notice sweating returning. Some people time it before summer or a busy season.
Hyperhidrosis Botox results: what to expect and when
- Days 2–4: sweating starts to decrease in the treated area.
- Weeks 1–2: the full sweat-reducing effect is usually reached.
- Months 6–9: sweating gradually returns as nerve signals recover (varies by person).
- Ongoing: repeat treatment maintains the result.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid Hyperhidrosis Botox
Hyperhidrosis Botox is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:
- Pain, redness, small bumps or bruising at injection points
- Temporary increased sweating in other untreated areas (compensatory sweating) in some people
- For palm treatment, temporary mild weakness of grip or finger strength
- Rarely, an allergic reaction
Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have a neuromuscular disorder (such as myasthenia gravis); have an infection at the injection site; or are allergic to any ingredient. Excessive sweating can sometimes have an underlying medical cause, so tell your doctor about any health conditions and medications.
Hyperhidrosis Botox vs Body Botox, Botox and Skin Botox: which should you choose?
Here is how sweat toxin compares with neighbouring toxin treatments on our menu.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hyperhidrosis Botox | Toxin in the skin blocks nerve signals to sweat glands | Underarm, palm and foot sweating | None; back to daily life immediately | Approx. 6–9 months |
| Body Botox | Toxin relaxes large body muscles | Shoulder (trapezius) or calf lines | None; back to daily life immediately | Approx. 4–6 months |
| Botox | Botulinum toxin type A; relaxes the targeted muscle | Expression lines and jaw contouring | None; back to daily life immediately | Approx. 3–6 months |
| Skin Botox | Diluted toxin placed shallowly in the face | Pores, fine lines, oily texture | None; back to daily life immediately | Approx. 2–3 months |
Choose Hyperhidrosis Botox if sweating is the problem. Choose Body Botox if you want to change a muscle line. Choose facial Botox or Skin Botox for wrinkles, pores or contour.

On the day, skip saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths, alcohol and strenuous exercise. Leave deodorant and makeup off the treated area until the next day, unless Dr. Park advises otherwise.

Does Botox for sweating make you sweat more elsewhere?
It is not expected to. Botox only acts on the sweat glands in the area that was treated. The rest of your body keeps cooling itself as usual, so you can still regulate heat. This is different from some surgical sweat treatments, where compensatory sweating elsewhere is a known concern. Some people simply notice normal sweating on other areas more once the main area is dry. If you notice a new pattern of sweating, tell Dr. Park so she can review it.
Can you use Botox for sweaty hands and feet?
Yes, palms and soles can be treated, but they need more planning than underarms. The skin there is thicker and more sensitive, so injections can feel sharper even with numbing. With palms, the dose is placed carefully to protect grip strength. Some people notice brief, mild weakness in the hands. Results on palms and soles may also last differently than underarms. Dr. Park will talk through these points first. If you have a trip with long walks, discuss timing for feet.
Is excessive sweating a medical problem I should check?
Often it is primary hyperhidrosis, which is common and not caused by another illness. It usually starts young and affects both sides equally, such as both underarms or both palms. Sweating that starts suddenly in adulthood is different. So is sweating at night or over the whole body, or sweating with weight loss or fever. These patterns should be checked by a doctor first. Dr. Park will ask about them at your consultation. If needed, she will recommend further assessment before any toxin.
Hyperhidrosis Botox FAQ
How much does Hyperhidrosis Botox cost in Busan?
At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, the price depends on the area treated (underarms, palms or soles) and the dose your doctor recommends. Prices are in KRW and exclude 10% VAT. Send us a WhatsApp message for a quote before your visit.
Does Hyperhidrosis Botox hurt?
Numbing cream is applied for 20–30 minutes first. Underarm injections feel like quick, light pinches. Palms and soles are more sensitive, so you may feel more discomfort there. The injections take about 15–20 minutes.
How long does Hyperhidrosis Botox last?
Results usually last about 6–9 months, and sometimes longer, depending on the area treated and how active your sweat glands are. When sweating gradually returns, the treatment can simply be repeated.
Can I exercise or fly after Hyperhidrosis Botox?
You can fly and go sightseeing straight away. On the day of treatment, avoid saunas, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise. From the next day you can return to your normal routine.
Hyperhidrosis Botox vs antiperspirants: what is the difference?
Strong antiperspirants block sweat ducts at the surface and must be used daily. Hyperhidrosis Botox works on the nerve signals to the glands, so one treatment can reduce sweating for months. Many people try antiperspirants first and choose Botox if they are not enough.
