Juvelook Skin is a skin booster that pairs PDLLA with hyaluronic acid to encourage your skin's own collagen. It works on texture, pores and fine lines at the same time for a smoother, firmer surface.
Quick answer: Juvelook Skin is an injectable skin booster that combines PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) with hyaluronic acid to stimulate collagen and improve texture, enlarged pores and fine lines. At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, it takes about 10–20 minutes after numbing cream, with mild bumps or needle marks for 1–2 days. Results build gradually over 3 or more sessions. Packages start from KRW 289,000 (excl. 10% VAT).

What is Juvelook Skin?
Juvelook Skin is a collagen-stimulating skin booster. It contains PDLLA, a biodegradable polymer that gently prompts the skin to produce new collagen over several weeks, together with hyaluronic acid for hydration. Because it is placed in fine, even micro-injections, it focuses on skin quality rather than adding visible volume.
It is mainly used for rough texture, enlarged pores, fine lines and shallow acne scarring. For deeper hollows the higher-volume version, Juvelook Volume, may suit you better, and for scars it is often combined with Potenza microneedling RF.
How Juvelook Skin works
The hyaluronic acid hydrates the skin straight away, while the PDLLA particles act as a slow trigger for your own collagen production. Over the following weeks the skin becomes denser and smoother, so improvement is gradual and natural-looking.
- Consultation: your doctor checks your texture, pores and scarring and plans the dose and areas.
- Treatment: numbing cream is applied, then the booster is placed with fine needles or an injector in small, even points.
- After: you can go about your day; a series of 3 or more sessions 2–4 weeks apart gives the best result.
Why patients choose Juvelook Skin
- Two actions in one — PDLLA stimulates collagen while hyaluronic acid hydrates.
- Texture, pores and fine lines together — improves overall skin quality, not just one concern.
- Gradual, natural change — results build with your own collagen, so they look like your skin.
- Works well in combination — often paired with Potenza or other boosters in our packages.
Who is Juvelook Skin for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- You see rough texture, enlarged-looking pores or fine crepey lines across the cheeks.
- Your skin feels dry deep down, even with a good moisturiser.
- You want gradual collagen support rather than an instant change.
- You can commit to a series of three or more sessions 2–4 weeks apart.
- You are happy with your face shape and want better skin quality, not extra volume.
- You want shallow acne-scar texture softened alongside microneedling.
We may suggest something else if…
- Your main concern is hollow temples or sunken cheeks — Juvelook Volume is designed for gradual volume.
- You mainly want quick hydration and glow before an event — Re2O or Water Glow Injection may suit you better.
- Your skin is thin, sensitised or recovering from laser — a PN booster such as Rejuran Healer is often a gentler start.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an active infection, cold sore or inflamed acne in the area. We wait until this has settled.
What happens at your Juvelook Skin session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Send us on WhatsApp (+82 10-2689-0370) a clear, make-up-free photo of your skin in daylight and your travel dates. Mention any allergies or recent procedures.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. She checks texture, pore pattern, skin thickness and any active acne. She then confirms whether Juvelook Skin alone or with Potenza fits your goals.
- Preparation and numbing. Your skin is cleansed and numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes. This makes the injections much more comfortable.
- The treatment. Injections take about 10–20 minutes. Most people feel light pricking and pressure, and small bumps form where the product is placed.
- Out the door and follow-up. Mild swelling or needle marks can last 1–2 days. Book your next session 2–4 weeks later, or message us if anything worries you.
How Dr. Park plans your Juvelook Skin treatment
Where the product goes
Juvelook Skin is placed in the upper dermis, the layer that shapes texture. Dr. Park maps the cheeks, under-eye margins or scarred zones and spreads tiny deposits evenly across them.
How much, and how often
Our packages use 2cc, 4cc or 6cc. A small amount may suit one zone; a larger amount covers the full face. Sessions are spaced 2–4 weeks apart, and three or more are usually advised.
Pairing with microneedling
For scars and pores, Dr. Park may combine it with Potenza radiofrequency microneedling. She keeps the goal modest: smoother, firmer skin that still looks like yours.
Juvelook Skin results: what to expect and when
- First days: small bumps and needle marks settle within 1–2 days; skin may already feel more hydrated.
- Weeks 2–4: texture starts to look smoother as collagen production begins.
- After 3 sessions: pores, fine lines and firmness show the clearest improvement.
- Months afterwards: results fade slowly; maintenance timing varies by person.
Results vary by person.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid Juvelook Skin
Juvelook Skin is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:
- Small bumps or visible injection marks for 1–2 days
- Redness, mild swelling or tenderness
- Bruising at some injection points, which fades over several days
- Rarely, infection, allergic reaction or persistent lumps — contact the clinic if anything worsens
Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active skin infection, cold sore or inflamed acne in the area; have a known allergy to any ingredient; have an uncontrolled autoimmune condition; or tend to form keloid scars. Tell your doctor about all medications, especially blood thinners.
Juvelook Skin vs Juvelook Volume, Rejuran Healer and Re2O: which should you choose?
These four boosters are often confused, but each targets a different layer of the problem.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Juvelook Skin | PDLLA with hyaluronic acid stimulates collagen in the upper skin | Texture, pores, fine lines, shallow scars | Mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days | Varies; 3+ sessions advised |
| Juvelook Volume | PDLLA with hyaluronic acid, aimed at soft volume | Mild hollows and flat areas | Mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days | Varies; 3+ sessions advised |
| Rejuran Healer | Salmon-derived PN supports skin repair | Thin, damaged or sensitised skin | Mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days | Varies; 3+ sessions advised |
| Re2O | Hyaluronic acid replenishes moisture | Dryness and dullness | Mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days | Varies; 3+ sessions advised |
Choose Juvelook Skin if texture and pores bother you most. Choose Rejuran Healer if your skin is fragile. Choose Re2O if dryness is the main issue, and Juvelook Volume if you need soft volume.

Downtime after Juvelook Skin, and flying home
For the first 24 hours you will see small raised bumps and a few needle marks. They usually flatten within 1–2 days. Avoid lying face-down or rubbing the area for 3–4 hours. Skip saunas, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise that day. If you add Potenza, plan for a longer skin recovery.
You can usually walk around Seomyeon or Haeundae the same afternoon. Leave jjimjilbang visits until the bumps have settled. Most people wait until the next day before wearing make-up over injection points. Tell Dr. Park your flight date. Short flights are generally fine; for long-haul trips, a night's rest first is a sensible buffer. Read our aftercare tips for travellers.

Why do I need 3 sessions of Juvelook Skin?
Juvelook Skin works by prompting your own collagen, and that takes repeated, gradual stimulation. One session starts the process, but new collagen builds slowly over the following weeks. Spacing sessions 2–4 weeks apart lets each round add to the last instead of starting from zero. Most people notice smoother texture after the second or third visit. How many you need depends on skin thickness, scarring and age. Dr. Park reviews your skin at each visit and can adjust the plan. If you are only in Busan once, ask about a schedule that fits your return trips.
Can Juvelook Skin help acne scars and large pores?
It can soften shallow, rolling acne scars and the look of enlarged pores, but it does not erase them. Juvelook Skin adds collagen under the scar so the surface looks more even. Deep ice-pick or boxcar scars usually need more than a booster. That is why Dr. Park may pair it with Potenza microneedling, which works on the scar from above. Active acne should be calmed first, because injecting through inflamed skin is not advised. Expect gradual change over several months rather than a sudden difference.
Will Juvelook Skin make my face look puffy or fuller?
No, not in a lasting way. Juvelook Skin is designed for skin quality, so it is placed thinly and spread out. The small bumps you see on day one are the product itself and usually settle within 1–2 days. After that, change comes from collagen and is subtle. If you want visible volume in hollows, Juvelook Volume or a filler is the better tool. Tell Dr. Park if you dislike any fullness at all, and she will plan conservatively.
