What is Atier?

Atier is a gel filler made from hyaluronic acid, a sugar molecule found naturally in the skin that binds water. Injected under the skin, it adds volume where it has been lost and supports the tissue above it, so hollows look fuller and folds look softer.

Because HA can be broken down with hyaluronidase, Atier results are adjustable if ever needed (see Filler Dissolving). Your doctor may also suggest other HA fillers such as Juvederm or GCELLE, depending on the area and the effect you want.

How Atier works

Hyaluronic acid gel fills space under the skin and attracts water, lifting sunken areas and softening creases from beneath. The doctor chooses the depth and amount to match each area.

  1. Consultation: your doctor assesses your facial volume and proportions, discusses the look you want and chooses the product and amount.
  2. Injection: after numbing cream, the filler is placed in small amounts with a fine needle or cannula and shaped as it goes.
  3. After: you check the result in the mirror, receive aftercare advice and can go straight back to your day.

Why patients choose Atier

  • Smooth, natural volume — the gel spreads evenly for a soft result.
  • Blends with the skin — designed to look and move naturally.
  • Fills sunken areas — restores volume to hollows and folds.
  • Reversible if needed — HA filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.

Who is Atier for — and when we suggest something else

Good candidates

  • You have mild to moderate volume loss in areas such as the cheeks or around the mouth.
  • Your nasolabial folds look deeper than they used to, even when your face is relaxed.
  • You would like a softer chin or lip line without surgery.
  • You prefer a smooth gel that blends in, so the result looks like your own tissue.
  • You want a result that can be adjusted or reversed later if your taste changes.
  • You are in Busan for a short trip and want a treatment with no real downtime.

We may suggest something else if…

  • Your lines appear mainly when you frown or squint. Muscle-driven lines usually respond better to Botox.
  • You want gradual collagen building rather than instant volume. A stimulator such as Juvelook Volume may suit you better.
  • Your main concern is sagging rather than hollowing. Ulthera or a thread lift such as MINT Threads lifts tissue instead of filling it.
  • You still have lumps from an older filler. Filler Dissolving first gives a clean starting point.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a skin infection or cold sore in the area. We wait until this has passed.

What happens at your Atier session in Seomyeon

  1. Message us on WhatsApp first. Send a front and side photo in natural light, the area you want treated and your travel dates. Tell us about any previous filler.
  2. Consultation with Dr. Park. She checks your facial balance, skin thickness and any old filler. She then explains whether Atier fits the area or another gel is better.
  3. Preparation & numbing. The skin is cleansed and numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes. Injection points are marked while you sit upright.
  4. The treatment. Injecting takes about 10–20 minutes. Most people feel pressure and mild stinging, and you can check the mirror before you leave.
  5. Out the door & follow-up. You can return to daily life straight away, though mild swelling is possible. Message us after a few days if anything feels uneven.

How Dr. Park plans your Atier treatment

Atier is planned area by area rather than as a fixed amount. Dr. Park looks at where volume has been lost and how thick the skin is. Deeper support goes under folds and hollows. Softer placement is used where the skin is thin or mobile, such as the lips.

There is no Atier package on our current price list, so the amount is set at consultation. Dr. Park starts conservatively and reviews the result with you in the mirror. It is easier to add a little later than to remove filler.

Most people repeat Atier every 6–12 months. A natural result comes from matching the face's proportions, not from filling every line. If another gel suits one area better, she may combine products in the same visit.

Atier results: what to expect and when

  • Immediately: volume and shape are visible straight away, with some swelling.
  • Days 3–7: swelling and any bruising settle, and the result starts to look more natural.
  • Week 2: the filler has settled into the tissue; this is a good time to review the result.
  • Months 6–12: the filler is gradually absorbed by the body; how fast varies by person, product and area.

Side effects, risks and who should avoid Atier

Hyaluronic acid filler is generally well tolerated when injected by a doctor. Possible side effects include:

  • Swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising at injection points (usually settles within a few days)
  • Small lumps or slight asymmetry, which can often be adjusted or dissolved
  • Rarely, infection or a delayed inflammatory reaction
  • Very rarely, filler blocking a blood vessel, which needs urgent treatment — contact the clinic at once if the skin turns pale, dusky or very painful

Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active infection, cold sore or inflamed skin in the area; are allergic to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine; or have a bleeding disorder or active autoimmune condition. Tell your doctor about all medications, especially blood thinners, and any previous filler in the area.

Atier vs Juvederm, GCELLE and Restylane: which should you choose?

All four are hyaluronic acid fillers, so the choice is mostly about gel feel and the area.

Treatment How it works Best for Downtime Results last
Atier Smooth HA gel that blends into tissue Soft, natural volume in hollows and folds Mild swelling possible About 6–12 months
Juvederm Cohesive HA gel range with several firmness levels Lips, folds and cheeks that move a lot Mild swelling possible About 6–12 months
GCELLE HA gel in Shape, Deep and Fine types Matching firmness to each area Mild swelling possible About 6–12 months
Restylane HA gel range with varied particle textures Defined shaping and lip work Mild swelling possible About 6–12 months

Choose Atier if you want a smooth, blended look in softer areas. Choose GCELLE or Restylane if an area needs firmer lift. Let Dr. Park pick when you are unsure; the area matters more than the brand.

Aftercare after Atier

  • Avoid touching or pressing firmly on the treated area.
  • On the day of treatment, skip saunas, hot baths, hard exercise and alcohol.
  • For 1–2 weeks, avoid strong massage or heat on the treated area.
  • Mild swelling or bruising is common and usually settles within a few days.
  • If asymmetry, lumps or discomfort persist, contact the clinic.

Downtime after Atier, and flying home

Most people feel fine straight after Atier. In the first 24–72 hours, mild swelling, tenderness or a small bruise can appear and usually settles within a few days. You can sightsee the same afternoon. Avoid saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths, strenuous exercise and alcohol on the day. Light makeup is usually fine once the injection points have closed; ask at your visit.

For 1–2 weeks, avoid firm massage, facial treatments and strong heat on the area. Tell Dr. Park your flight date at consultation. Flying is generally possible after filler, but treating early in your trip leaves time for a check if swelling or unevenness appears. Read our aftercare tips for travellers before you go.

Is Atier a good filler for first-timers?

Atier can be a sensible first filler because it is a hyaluronic acid gel that can be dissolved if needed. That reversibility is reassuring when you have never had filler before.

Its smooth texture suits a subtle first result in areas like the nasolabial folds or mild cheek hollows. A first treatment should usually be modest. Dr. Park can add more at a later visit once you know how your face responds. Tell her about allergies, past reactions and medicines that thin the blood, because these change the plan.

Can Atier be used under the eyes?

The under-eye area is possible with HA filler, but it needs careful product and depth choice. Skin there is very thin, and heavy gel can look puffy or bluish.

Dr. Park decides whether Atier or a gel designed for this area suits you. Some people are better served by Tear Trough Filler, and others by a skin booster. If you have puffy bags rather than a hollow, filler may make things worse, so she may advise against it. A tear trough treatment also needs extra time to settle, so plan it early in your stay.

Why does my Atier filler feel firm for the first few days?

Some firmness in the first days is common. Swelling, small amounts of fluid and the gel itself all add to it while the tissue settles.

HA gel draws in water and integrates with surrounding tissue over roughly the first couple of weeks. Most people find it softens during that time. Do not massage the area unless Dr. Park asks you to. Message us if a lump is painful, the skin changes colour, or firmness is still obvious after two weeks.

Atier FAQ

How much does Atier filler cost in Busan?

Atier pricing at Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon depends on the area treated and the amount of filler your doctor recommends. Prices are in KRW and exclude 10% VAT. Send us a message on WhatsApp for a quote before your visit.

Does Atier filler hurt?

Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes first, so most people feel only pressure and mild stinging during the 10–20 minute injection. Some areas, such as the lips, are more sensitive than others.

How long does Atier last?

Results usually last about 6–12 months. How long they last depends on the area, the amount used and your own metabolism. Many patients choose a top-up every 6–12 months to maintain the result.

Can I fly or go sightseeing after Atier filler?

Yes. There is no real downtime, so you can carry on with your day. Avoid saunas, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise on the day, and avoid pressing the area. Mention any upcoming flights during your consultation.

What is the difference between Atier and Juvederm?

Both are hyaluronic acid fillers. They differ in how the gel is cross-linked, which affects firmness, spread and feel. Your doctor chooses the product that best suits the area being treated and the look you want.

Who performs Atier filler at Art of Shine Clinic?

Dr. Park Yoon-soo, our Head Director, plans and injects your filler herself. She trained at Kyungpook National University School of Medicine and completed her internship at Asan Medical Center.

Do foreign patients pay the same listed price?

Our listed prices are in KRW and exclude 10% VAT, and payment is made at the clinic on the day. Atier has no fixed package price, so ask us on WhatsApp for a quote before you visit.

Can I book Atier on the same day?

Please message us on WhatsApp first. A consultation with Dr. Park comes before any filler. Same-day treatment depends on the schedule, and we are closed on Sundays and from 13:00 to 14:00 for lunch.
