Columella Filler in Busan
#NoseTipLine · #ColumellaCorrection · #3DNoseShape · #NaturalNoseTip
Columella filler places hyaluronic acid in the columella, the column of tissue between the nostrils above the philtrum, to give the nose tip more projection. Fine-tuning the angle and height of the tip creates a sharper side profile.
Quick answer: Columella filler is a hyaluronic acid injection into the columella, the strip between the nostrils, to support and lift the nose tip without surgery. At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, it takes about 10–20 minutes after numbing cream, with mild swelling at most. Results usually last about 12–18 months. Packages start from KRW 290,000 (excl. 10% VAT).

What is Columella Filler?
The columella is the small column of tissue between your nostrils. When it is short or set back, the nose tip can look flat or droopy from the side. A small amount of firm hyaluronic acid filler placed here acts like a supporting strut, raising the tip and refining the angle between the nose and upper lip.
Columella filler is often combined with Nose Filler for the bridge or with a nose thread lift such as Hyco. Because the nose has a delicate blood supply, it should be done by a doctor who knows the anatomy well.
How Columella Filler works
A firm hyaluronic acid filler placed along the columella supports the nose tip from below, increasing projection and adjusting the nose-to-lip angle.
- Consultation: your doctor assesses your nose shape and profile, discusses the look you want and chooses the product and amount.
- Injection: after numbing cream, the filler is placed in small amounts with a fine needle or cannula and shaped as it goes.
- After: you check the result in the mirror, receive aftercare advice and can go straight back to your day.
Why patients choose Columella Filler
- A more defined nose tip — adds 3D projection without surgery.
- Precise adjustment — the tip angle and height are fine-tuned.
- Sharper side profile — a balanced line from nose to lip.
- Quick and adjustable — a short visit, and HA can be dissolved if needed.
Who is Columella Filler for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- Your nose tip looks flat, short or droopy from the side.
- The angle between your nose and upper lip looks too sharp or too sunken.
- You want more tip projection without rhinoplasty.
- You are also considering bridge filler and want the whole profile to look balanced.
- You have not had nose surgery, or your surgeon and Dr. Park agree it is safe.
We may suggest something else if…
- Your bridge is low but the tip already projects well. Nose Filler on the bridge alone may be enough.
- You prefer not to have filler in the nose at all. A thread option such as Hyco may suit you.
- You had rhinoplasty or nose implants. We may advise waiting, or decline, because blood supply can be altered.
- You have old filler that has spread or looks wide. Filler Dissolving first gives a cleaner base.
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have an infection or active acne on the nose. We postpone treatment.
What happens at your Columella Filler session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Send clear side-profile and front photos, and tell us about any past nose filler, threads or surgery. Include your travel dates.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. She studies your profile, tip support, skin thickness and nose-to-lip angle. She also checks for previous procedures that change the risk.
- Preparation & numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes. The tip and columella are marked so the design matches your profile.
- The treatment. Injection takes about 10–20 minutes. The tip is sensitive, so expect pressure and brief stinging, and Dr. Park checks skin colour throughout.
- Out the door & follow-up. You can return to daily life immediately, with mild swelling possible. Contact us at once if the nose skin turns pale, grey or dusky.
How Dr. Park plans your Columella Filler treatment
Profile first
Dr. Park plans columella filler from the side view. She looks at tip height, how far the tip projects and the nose-to-lip angle. The aim is a tip that fits your face, not a sharp, pointed one.
Small, firm and deep
A firm HA gel is placed deep along the columella as a supporting strut. Our Mini Nose Bridge & Tip Lift package combines 1cc of designed nose filler with 4 HIKO threads. That 1cc is shared between bridge and tip, so the amount in the columella stays small.
Safety and timing
The nose has a delicate blood supply, so Dr. Park injects slowly and watches the skin colour. Results usually last 12–18 months, and repeat treatment is planned on that interval if you wish.
Columella Filler results: what to expect and when
- Immediately: volume and shape are visible straight away, with some swelling.
- Days 3–7: swelling and any bruising settle, and the result starts to look more natural.
- Week 2: the filler has settled into the tissue; this is a good time to review the result.
- Months 12–18: the filler is gradually absorbed; how fast varies by person and product.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid Columella Filler
Hyaluronic acid filler is generally well tolerated when injected by a doctor. Possible side effects include:
- Swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising at injection points (usually settles within a few days)
- Small lumps or slight asymmetry, which can often be adjusted or dissolved
- Rarely, infection or a delayed inflammatory reaction
- Very rarely, filler blocking a blood vessel — the nose is a higher-risk area, so contact the clinic at once if the skin turns pale, dusky or very painful
Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active infection, cold sore or inflamed skin in the area; are allergic to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine; or have a bleeding disorder or active autoimmune condition. Tell your doctor about all medications, especially blood thinners, and any previous filler in the area. Previous nose surgery or implants should also be discussed.
Columella Filler vs Nose Filler and Hyco: which should you choose?
These three can be used alone or together to shape the nose without surgery.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Columella Filler | Firm HA gel acts as a strut at the tip | Flat or droopy tip, sharp nose-to-lip angle | Mild swelling possible | About 12–18 months |
| Nose Filler | HA gel raises and straightens the bridge | Low or uneven nasal bridge | Mild swelling possible | About 12–18 months |
| Hyco | Dissolvable threads support the bridge | A slimmer bridge without filler | Mild swelling for a few days | About 12–24 months |
Choose columella filler if the tip is your main concern. Choose nose filler or Hyco if the bridge is the issue. Many people need a mix, which Dr. Park designs after seeing your profile.

Downtime after Columella Filler, and flying home
Expect mild swelling or tenderness at the tip for the first 24–72 hours. A small bruise is possible. You can sightsee the same day, but avoid knocking or pressing the nose. Skip saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise on the day. Avoid heavy glasses resting on the nose if possible, and keep makeup off the injection points until they close.
For 1–2 weeks, avoid firm pressure, massage and strong heat on the nose. Tell Dr. Park your flight date when you book. Flying is generally possible, but treating early in your stay lets us check you if anything changes. Any colour change in the nose skin is urgent, even after you leave. See our aftercare tips for travellers.

Can columella filler make my nose tip look pointy?
It should not, if the amount and placement suit your face. A pointy look usually comes from too much filler or placing it too high on the tip.
Dr. Park uses a small amount deep along the columella to support the tip from below. The goal is gentle projection that matches your bridge and chin. If you prefer a softer look, say so at consultation. Because HA filler can be dissolved, an overly sharp result can be corrected, though careful planning is the better approach.
Is columella filler safe if I have had a nose job?
It depends on what was done and how long ago. Surgery and implants can change blood flow and leave scar tissue, which raises the risk of complications from filler.
Bring details of your surgery, including whether you have an implant or cartilage graft. Dr. Park may advise against filler, suggest a very conservative amount, or recommend you see your surgeon first. This is a medical judgement made in person. It is not something we can approve from photos alone. Bring photos or records from your surgeon if you have them.
How long does swelling last after columella filler?
Most swelling settles within a few days. The tip can look slightly fuller than planned during that time, so judge the final shape after about two weeks.
Avoid pressing the tip to check it, and sleep with your head a little raised on the first night if you are puffy. Alcohol and heat can make swelling worse. If swelling is increasing rather than settling, or the skin changes colour, message us straight away rather than waiting. Mild bruising, if any, usually fades within the same period.
Columella Filler FAQ
How much does columella filler cost in Busan?
At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, the Mini Nose Bridge & Tip Lift package (4 HIKO threads plus 1cc designed nose filler) is KRW 290,000, excluding 10% VAT. Your doctor confirms the right plan and amount at consultation.
Does columella filler hurt?
Numbing cream is applied for 20–30 minutes first. The nose tip is sensitive, so you may feel pressure and brief stinging, but the injection itself takes only about 10–20 minutes.
How long does columella filler last?
Results usually last about 12–18 months, as there is little movement in this area. How long it lasts varies with the product, amount and your metabolism. A top-up can maintain the shape.
Can I fly or go sightseeing after columella filler?
Yes, you can return to normal activities straight away. Avoid pressing the nose, heavy glasses, saunas and alcohol on the day. Contact the clinic immediately if the skin on the nose turns pale or dusky.
Columella filler or nose filler: which do I need?
Nose filler on the bridge raises a low bridge, while columella filler supports and lifts the tip. Many people benefit from both, combined into one balanced design. Your doctor recommends the right mix after looking at your profile.
Who performs columella filler at Art of Shine Clinic?
Dr. Park Yoon-soo, our Head Director, designs and injects nose filler herself. She is a Restylane Expert Member (Galderma) and a Belotero Key Doctor (Merz Korea).
