What is GCELLE?
GCELLE is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel. According to its maker, GC Wellbeing, its HoPE cross-linking technology helps the gel keep its shape and volume. The range has three types: Shape for contouring, Deep for deeper folds and volume, and Fine for finer lines.
Choosing between types lets your doctor match firmness to each area, from nasolabial folds to the chin. GCELLE is one of several HA fillers available at Art of Shine Clinic, alongside Juvederm and Restylane; your doctor will recommend the most suitable one.
How GCELLE works
GCELLE gel is placed at the depth suited to its type, filling folds and lost volume from beneath while binding water to keep the area supported.
- Consultation: your doctor assesses your folds and volume loss, discusses the look you want and chooses the product and amount.
- Injection: after numbing cream, the filler is placed in small amounts with a fine needle or cannula and shaped as it goes.
- After: you check the result in the mirror, receive aftercare advice and can go straight back to your day.
Why patients choose GCELLE
- Formerly YOUTHFILL — the same Korean filler line under a new name.
- Designed to hold volume — uses the maker's HoPE cross-linking technology.
- Three types — Shape, Deep and Fine matched to each area.
- Reversible if needed — HA filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
Who is GCELLE for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- You want hyaluronic acid filler where firmness can be matched to each area.
- You need deeper support for nasolabial folds or a flat chin.
- You also have finer lines that need a softer gel.
- You had YOUTHFILL before and liked the result.
- You want reversible volume with no real downtime during your trip.
We may suggest something else if…
- Your lines come mainly from frowning or raising your brows. Botox relaxes the muscle instead.
- Your skin looks dull and crepey rather than hollow. A skin booster like Rejuran Healer may help more.
- You want slow, collagen-based volume. Juvelook Volume works differently from HA filler.
- You have lumps from old filler. Filler Dissolving may be needed first.
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding or have an active infection in the area. We wait until you are well.
What happens at your GCELLE session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Send front, side and angled photos and say which areas bother you. Mention any filler you have had and when.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. She checks fold depth, bone support and skin thickness. Then she explains which GCELLE type suits each area.
- Preparation & numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes. Areas are marked while you sit up, so the plan matches how your face looks upright.
- The treatment. Injection usually takes 10–20 minutes. You feel pressure and mild stinging, and you review the result in the mirror.
- Out the door & follow-up. You can return to daily life straight away, with mild swelling possible. Message us within two weeks if anything looks uneven.
How Dr. Park plans your GCELLE treatment
Choosing the type
GCELLE comes in three types: Shape, Deep and Fine. Dr. Park picks by area. Shape suits contouring such as the chin. Deep suits deeper folds and volume. Fine suits shallower lines.
Layer and amount
Firmer gel goes deeper, near bone, to support the tissue above. Softer gel sits higher for fine lines. GCELLE has no fixed package on our current list, so the amount is agreed at consultation.
Keeping it natural
Dr. Park treats proportions, not single lines. She may stop short of full correction and review later. Repeat treatment is usually every 6–12 months.
GCELLE results: what to expect and when
- Immediately: volume and shape are visible straight away, with some swelling.
- Days 3–7: swelling and any bruising settle, and the result starts to look more natural.
- Week 2: the filler has settled into the tissue; this is a good time to review the result.
- Months 6–12: the filler is gradually absorbed by the body; how fast varies by person, product and area.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid GCELLE
Hyaluronic acid filler is generally well tolerated when injected by a doctor. Possible side effects include:
- Swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising at injection points (usually settles within a few days)
- Small lumps or slight asymmetry, which can often be adjusted or dissolved
- Rarely, infection or a delayed inflammatory reaction
- Very rarely, filler blocking a blood vessel, which needs urgent treatment — contact the clinic at once if the skin turns pale, dusky or very painful
Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active infection, cold sore or inflamed skin in the area; are allergic to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine; or have a bleeding disorder or active autoimmune condition. Tell your doctor about all medications, especially blood thinners, and any previous filler in the area.
GCELLE vs Juvederm, Neuramis and Restylane: which should you choose?
These are all hyaluronic acid fillers; the difference lies in gel design and range.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GCELLE | HA gel with HoPE cross-linking; Shape, Deep, Fine | Matching firmness to each area | Mild swelling possible | About 6–12 months |
| Juvederm | Smooth, cohesive HA gel range | Lips, folds, cheeks with lots of movement | Mild swelling possible | About 6–12 months |
| Neuramis | HA filler range | General volume and fold correction | Mild swelling possible | About 6–12 months |
| Restylane | HA gel range with different textures | Defined shaping and lips | Mild swelling possible | About 6–12 months |
Choose GCELLE if you want one range that covers deep folds and fine lines. Choose Juvederm or Restylane if Dr. Park prefers their texture for a specific area. Downtime and duration are similar, so let the area guide you.
Aftercare after GCELLE

- On the day of treatment, skip saunas, hot baths, hard exercise and alcohol.

Downtime after GCELLE, and flying home
In the first 24–72 hours after GCELLE, mild swelling, tenderness or small bruises can appear. They usually fade within a few days. You can go sightseeing the same day. Avoid saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths, alcohol and strenuous exercise on the day of treatment. Wait until injection points have closed before applying makeup over them.
For 1–2 weeks, avoid firm massage and strong heat on the treated area. Tell Dr. Park your flight date at consultation. Flying is generally possible after filler, but treating early in your trip leaves time for a check. Contact us if lumps, asymmetry or discomfort persist. Read our aftercare tips for travellers.

What is the difference between GCELLE Shape, Deep and Fine?
They are three firmness levels in the same hyaluronic acid range. Each is meant for a different depth and job.
Shape is designed for contouring, such as building chin projection. Deep is for deeper folds and restoring volume. Fine suits shallower lines, where a heavy gel could show. Dr. Park may use more than one type in a session. The choice depends on your skin thickness and the area, not on a fixed formula. Ask her to explain which she plans to use and why.
Does GCELLE last longer than other fillers?
Its maker describes HoPE cross-linking as helping volume retention. In practice, duration is about 6–12 months, similar to other HA fillers on our list.
How long any filler lasts depends more on the area, the amount and your metabolism than the brand. Areas that move a lot, like the lips, tend to fade sooner. Exercise and metabolism also play a part. Dr. Park will give you a realistic expectation for your own face rather than a brand promise. Planned top-ups help keep the shape steady.
Can GCELLE be dissolved like other HA fillers?
Yes. GCELLE is a hyaluronic acid filler, so it can be broken down with hyaluronidase if needed.
This makes it adjustable if you are unhappy with the result or a lump forms. Dissolving is a separate procedure with its own small risks, including allergy. See Filler Dissolving for how it works. Careful planning at the first visit is still the surest way to avoid needing it. Allergic reactions to hyaluronidase are uncommon, but you should mention any history of allergy before treatment. Tell Dr. Park if you have ever reacted to bee or wasp stings.
