What is Glabella & Forehead Filler?
A flat or hollow forehead can make the face look harsher from the side, and deep frown lines can remain even when the muscles are relaxed. Hyaluronic acid filler adds gentle volume across the forehead and fills etched-in lines at the glabella, the area between the brows.
Frown lines caused by movement are often treated first with Botox; filler is added when a line is still visible at rest. This area has important blood vessels, so careful technique matters, and the filler can be adjusted with Filler Dissolving if needed.
How Glabella & Forehead Filler works
Hyaluronic acid filler is spread in a smooth layer to round the forehead and placed carefully into deep glabellar lines, linking the forehead, brow and nose bridge into one line.
- Consultation: your doctor assesses your forehead shape and frown lines, discusses the look you want and chooses the product and amount.
- Injection: after numbing cream, the filler is placed in small amounts with a fine needle or cannula and shaped as it goes.
- After: you check the result in the mirror, receive aftercare advice and can go straight back to your day.
Why patients choose Glabella & Forehead Filler
- A rounded forehead — adds soft volume to a flat or sunken area.
- Fills deep frown lines — softens lines that stay visible at rest.
- A smooth profile — connects forehead, brow and nose bridge.
- Works with Botox — filler and Botox can be combined.
Who is Glabella & Forehead Filler for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- Your forehead looks flat or sunken from the side.
- You have a deep line between the brows that stays when your face is relaxed.
- Botox has softened your frown, but an etched line remains.
- You want a smoother curve from forehead to nose bridge.
- You prefer a non-surgical option with little downtime.
We may suggest something else if…
- Your frown lines only show when you frown. Botox alone may be enough.
- Your forehead skin is lined but not hollow. Skin Botox can soften fine texture instead.
- Your brows have dropped and the forehead skin feels loose. A forehead option from MINT Threads may suit you better.
- You had forehead filler that looks lumpy or wide. Filler Dissolving first gives a clean base.
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have an infection on the forehead. We postpone treatment.
What happens at your Glabella & Forehead Filler session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Send front and side photos with a relaxed face and while frowning. Mention any past forehead filler or Botox and your travel dates.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. She checks forehead shape, frown strength and line depth. She also reviews the blood vessels in this area and explains the specific risks.
- Preparation & numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes. The forehead curve and glabellar line are marked while you sit up.
- The treatment. Treatment takes about 15–30 minutes. You feel pressure and mild stinging, and Dr. Park watches skin colour and asks about your vision.
- Out the door & follow-up. You can return to daily life immediately, with mild swelling possible. Contact us urgently for skin paling, dusky colour or any vision change.
How Dr. Park plans your Glabella & Forehead Filler treatment
Dr. Park treats the forehead and glabella as one curve. Filler is spread in a smooth layer to round a flat forehead. Deep glabellar lines get small, careful amounts, often alongside Botox to reduce the frown that creates them.
Our Flight Attendant Forehead Filler package includes Korean filler 5cc plus forehead Botox. That amount is for full forehead shaping. A single glabellar line usually needs far less, and Dr. Park only uses what your face needs.
This area carries important blood vessels, so she injects slowly and checks as she goes. Results usually last 12–18 months, and top-ups are planned on that interval. The aim is a soft, rounded profile, not a bulging forehead.
Glabella & Forehead Filler results: what to expect and when
- Immediately: volume and shape are visible straight away, with some swelling.
- Days 3–7: swelling and any bruising settle, and the result starts to look more natural.
- Week 2: the filler has settled into the tissue; this is a good time to review the result.
- Months 12–18: the filler is gradually absorbed; how fast varies by person and product.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid Glabella & Forehead Filler
Hyaluronic acid filler is generally well tolerated when injected by a doctor. Possible side effects include:
- Swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising at injection points (usually settles within a few days)
- Small lumps or slight asymmetry, which can often be adjusted or dissolved
- Rarely, infection or a delayed inflammatory reaction
- Very rarely, filler blocking a blood vessel — the glabella is a higher-risk area, so contact the clinic at once if the skin turns pale or dusky or you notice any change in vision
Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active infection, cold sore or inflamed skin in the area; are allergic to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine; or have a bleeding disorder or active autoimmune condition. Tell your doctor about all medications, especially blood thinners, and any previous filler in the area.
Glabella & Forehead Filler vs Botox and Skin Botox: which should you choose?
Forehead concerns come from volume, muscle movement or skin texture, and each has a different fix.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Glabella & Forehead Filler | HA filler adds volume and fills etched lines | Flat forehead, deep lines at rest | Mild swelling possible | About 12–18 months |
| Botox | Relaxes the muscles that create frown lines | Lines that appear with expression | None | About 3–6 months |
| Skin Botox | Tiny shallow doses refine skin texture | Fine lines and pores across the forehead | None | About 2–3 months |
Choose filler if the forehead is flat or a line remains at rest. Choose Botox if lines appear only when you frown. Many people with deep glabellar lines need both, as in our forehead package.

- Mild swelling or bruising is common and usually settles within a few days.
- If the area turns pale or dusky, or you notice vision changes, contact the clinic immediately.

Downtime after Glabella & Forehead Filler, and flying home
Mild swelling across the forehead is common in the first 24–72 hours. It can look slightly puffy in the morning and settles over a few days. You can sightsee the same day, but avoid hats or bands pressing on the area. Skip saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise on the day. Makeup can go on once the injection points have closed.
For 1–2 weeks, avoid massage, facials and strong heat on the forehead. Tell Dr. Park your flight date when you book. Flying is generally possible, but treat early in your trip so she can see you if needed. Vision change or pale, dusky skin is an emergency, even after you leave Korea. See our aftercare tips for travellers.

Is glabella filler dangerous?
The glabella is one of the higher-risk areas for filler. It has blood vessels connected to the eye area, so a rare blockage can affect the skin or vision.
That is why careful technique, slow injection and small amounts matter here. Dr. Park often softens the frown with Botox first, so less filler is needed. You should know the warning signs: pain, skin paling or dusky colour, and any vision change. These need urgent attention. Ask her to explain the risks for your face before you decide.
Why combine Botox with forehead filler?
Botox and filler solve different parts of the same problem. Botox reduces the muscle pull that keeps creasing the skin; filler fills the crease that has already formed.
When the frown keeps moving, filler can wear and spread faster. Relaxing the muscle helps the result look smoother and may help it last. That is why our forehead package includes Botox. If your forehead is flat but you rarely frown, filler alone may be enough. Dr. Park decides after watching your expressions. Your Botox dose and timing are planned at the same visit.
How much filler does a full forehead need?
It depends on how flat the forehead is, its size and the look you want. Our forehead package uses Korean filler 5cc, which reflects full forehead shaping.
Some people need less, especially if they only want to soften a dip or a single line. Dr. Park may place part of the volume and review it later. This avoids an overly heavy forehead. Ask her what amount she suggests and how it affects price before you start. Your forehead shape, skin thickness and age all affect the final amount.
Glabella & Forehead Filler FAQ
How much does forehead filler cost in Busan?
At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, the Flight Attendant Forehead Filler package (Korean filler 5cc plus forehead Botox) is KRW 290,000, excluding 10% VAT. Your doctor confirms the amount you need at consultation.
Does forehead filler hurt?
Numbing cream is applied for 20–30 minutes first, so most people feel pressure and mild stinging rather than sharp pain. The treatment takes about 15–30 minutes, and mild tenderness afterwards usually fades within a day or two.
How long does glabella and forehead filler last?
Results usually last about 12–18 months, as there is relatively little movement in the forehead. Duration varies with the product, amount and your metabolism, and a top-up can maintain the shape.
Can I fly or go sightseeing after forehead filler?
Yes. You can return to normal activities straight away. Avoid saunas, alcohol and hard exercise on the day, and avoid pressing the area. Contact the clinic urgently if the skin turns pale or your vision changes.
Should I get Botox or filler for frown lines?
Botox relaxes the muscle that creates frown lines, so it suits lines that appear when you frown. Filler fills lines that remain at rest. Deep glabellar lines often need both together.
Who performs forehead filler at Art of Shine Clinic?
Dr. Park Yoon-soo, our Head Director, performs forehead and glabella filler herself. She is a Restylane Expert Member (Galderma) and a 2026 CORETOX Expert.
Do foreign patients pay the same listed price?
Our listed prices are in KRW and exclude 10% VAT. The Flight Attendant Forehead Filler package is KRW 290,000. Payment is made at the clinic on the day; confirm current prices on WhatsApp.
Do I need a consultation before forehead filler?
Yes. Dr. Park always examines the forehead and discusses risks before treatment. Message us on WhatsApp to arrange a time; we are closed on Sundays.
