Hyco in Busan
#NoseThreadLift · #NoseBridgeLift · #NonSurgicalRhinoplasty · #NaturalBridgeLine
Hyco is a nose thread lift that places dissolvable threads inside the nose to raise the bridge and refine its line. With no incision and no filler, the threads act as internal support, adding height for a natural, defined nose line.
Quick answer: Hyco is a non-surgical nose thread lift: dissolvable threads are inserted along the nose bridge to support and raise it without an incision or filler. At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, it takes about 15–20 minutes under numbing cream or local anaesthetic. You can return to daily life immediately, with possible mild swelling for a few days. Results usually last about 12–24 months.

What is Hyco?
In a nose thread lift, the doctor passes fine dissolvable threads under the skin of the nose through a small needle entry point. Lying along the bridge, the threads act like a slim internal frame, adding height and straightening the line. As they slowly dissolve, the body forms collagen around them.
Hyco suits people who want a higher bridge but prefer not to have filler or surgery. It can be combined with Columella Filler or Nose Filler to refine the tip and fine-tune the overall shape.
How Hyco works
Dissolvable threads are inserted along the nose bridge through a fine needle. They support the bridge from inside, raising its height, and stimulate collagen as they dissolve.
- Consultation: your doctor assesses your nose bridge, tip and skin thickness and plans the number and position of threads.
- Thread insertion: after numbing, threads are placed along the bridge through a small needle entry point, usually in 15–20 minutes.
- After: you check the new line, receive aftercare advice and can go back to your day.
Why patients choose Hyco
- No incision — threads support the bridge through a needle entry.
- A natural bridge line — added height without filler.
- Quick treatment — a visible change after a short procedure.
- Long-lasting — results often last 12–24 months.
Who is Hyco for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- Your nose bridge is low and you want more height.
- You prefer not to have filler or surgery on the nose.
- You want a slimmer, straighter bridge line.
- You would like a short procedure with visible change straight away.
- You are willing to avoid glasses and face-down sleeping for 1–2 weeks.
We may suggest something else if…
- Your main concern is a flat or droopy tip. Columella Filler may suit you better, or a combined plan.
- You want precise volume in one small spot. Nose Filler can be shaped very exactly.
- You had rhinoplasty or nasal implants. Dr. Park may advise against threads or ask you to see your surgeon first.
- You wear heavy glasses every day and cannot switch for 1–2 weeks. We may suggest timing it later.
- You have an active infection, acne on the nose, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. We postpone.
What happens at your Hyco session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Send front and side photos of your nose. Tell us about past filler, threads or surgery, and your flight date.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. She looks at bridge height, skin thickness and tip support. She explains how many threads she suggests and whether filler should be added.
- Preparation & numbing. Numbing cream or local anaesthetic is used, taking about 20–30 minutes. The bridge line is marked to keep it straight.
- The treatment. The threads are placed in about 15–20 minutes. You feel pressure rather than sharp pain, and the change is visible straight away.
- Out the door & follow-up. You can return to daily life, with mild swelling possible for a few days. Message us if you can feel a thread or discomfort persists.
How Dr. Park plans your Hyco treatment
Hyco uses dissolvable threads laid along the bridge. Dr. Park places them through a small entry point, keeping them in a straight line under the skin. They act like a slim internal frame.
The number of threads depends on how much height you need and your skin thickness. There is no Hyco package on our current price list, so the plan and price are set at consultation. Our Mini Nose Bridge & Tip Lift package uses HIKO threads with filler for those who want both.
Results usually last 12–24 months as collagen forms around the threads. Repeat treatment is planned on that interval. Dr. Park keeps the bridge in proportion to your forehead and tip for a natural line.
Hyco results: what to expect and when
- Immediately: the bridge looks higher, with some swelling.
- Days 3–7: swelling and any bruising settle and the line looks more natural.
- Weeks 4–12: collagen forms around the threads, helping keep the shape.
- Months 12–24: the threads dissolve gradually and the effect fades; this varies by person.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid Hyco
A nose thread lift is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:
- Swelling, redness or bruising on the nose for a few days
- Slight asymmetry or a result less pronounced than hoped
- Rarely, a thread you can feel or see, or a thread pushing out through the skin, which needs removal
- Rarely, infection, which needs prompt treatment
Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active infection or inflammation on the nose; have thin, fragile skin on the nose; have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners that cannot be paused safely; or tend to form keloid scars. Previous nose surgery or implants should be discussed first.
Hyco vs Nose Filler and Columella Filler: which should you choose?
All three reshape the nose without surgery, but they work in different ways.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hyco | Dissolvable threads support and raise the bridge | Slim bridge height without filler | Mild swelling for a few days | About 12–24 months |
| Nose Filler | HA filler adds volume along the bridge | Precise shaping of a low bridge | Mild swelling possible | About 12–18 months |
| Columella Filler | Firm HA filler supports the nose tip | Flat or droopy tip | Mild swelling possible | About 12–18 months |
Choose Hyco if you want height without filler. Choose nose filler if you need exact volume in a spot. Choose columella filler for the tip; Dr. Park often combines these.
Aftercare after Hyco

Downtime after Hyco, and flying home
Expect mild swelling and some tenderness on the nose for a few days. A small bruise near the entry point is possible. You can sightsee the same day. Avoid saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths, strenuous exercise and alcohol on the day. Keep makeup off the entry point until it has closed.
For 1–2 weeks, avoid glasses resting on the bridge and sleeping face-down. Do not press or massage the nose. Tell Dr. Park your flight date at consultation; flying is generally possible, but treat early in your stay so she can check you. Message us if you can feel a thread. See our aftercare tips for travellers.

Can a nose thread lift change the shape of my nose tip?
A bridge thread lift mainly affects the bridge, not the tip. It adds height and straightens the line from between the eyes downward.
If your tip is flat or points down, threads on the bridge may not change that much. Tip support is usually handled with Columella Filler or extra threads placed for the tip. Dr. Park checks your profile and explains what each part of the plan will do. Combining methods often gives a more balanced result than relying on one. She will mark the planned line so you can see it before she starts.
What happens when the Hyco threads dissolve?
As the threads dissolve, the body forms collagen around where they sat. This helps some support remain for a time after the threads are gone.
Results usually last about 12–24 months, then gradually fade. The nose returns towards its earlier shape rather than dropping lower. Many people choose a repeat treatment when they notice the height reducing. How long it lasts varies with skin thickness and how you look after the nose in the first weeks. Gentle care in the first two weeks helps the threads settle in position.
Is a thread lift safer than nose filler?
Neither is risk-free, and the risks differ. Threads avoid filler-related vessel blockage, but they can cause infection, a visible or palpable thread, or asymmetry.
Filler can be shaped very precisely and dissolved if needed, but injecting the nose carries a small risk of vessel blockage. The safer choice depends on your anatomy and history. Previous surgery, thin skin and implants all change the picture. Ask Dr. Park to compare both for your nose specifically. Bring details of any previous nose procedures to your consultation.

Does a nose thread lift hurt?

How long does Hyco last?
Results usually last about 12–24 months. The threads dissolve gradually, while collagen formed around them helps support the shape. How long it lasts varies with your skin and nose structure.
Can I fly or go sightseeing after a nose thread lift?
Yes, you can return to daily life immediately, though mild swelling may last a few days. Avoid glasses, sleeping face-down, saunas and alcohol as advised. Mention any flights during your consultation.
Hyco nose thread lift or nose filler?
Nose filler adds volume with hyaluronic acid and can be shaped precisely. A thread lift raises the bridge using dissolvable threads, with no filler. Some people prefer threads for a slimmer bridge; others combine both.
