Quick answer: Cryocell is a non-invasive cooling skin care that lowers the skin's temperature to calm redness, heat and sensitivity, and help pores look tighter. At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, it takes about 15–20 minutes, needs no numbing and has no downtime, so it is often used straight after lasers or peels. Sessions can be repeated every 1–2 weeks. A skin package including Cryo Care starts from KRW 129,000 (excl. 10% VAT).

What is Cryocell?
Cryocell is a cooling care that applies controlled cold to the skin surface. Cooling causes small blood vessels to narrow temporarily and calms heat in the skin, which helps reduce redness and the feeling of irritation, and makes pores appear tighter.
Because it is gentle and has no downtime, Cryocell is often used as soothing care after heat-based or resurfacing treatments, such as in a package with pico fractional laser and Exosome. It can also be added to Hydration Care or LED Therapy for sensitive skin.
How Cryocell works
Controlled cooling lowers the temperature of the skin surface. This temporarily narrows small blood vessels and calms heat, so redness settles and the skin feels comfortable and firmer to the touch.
- Consultation: your skin's redness and sensitivity are checked.
- Cooling care: the cooling device is moved over the face for about 15–20 minutes.
- After: skin feels calm and cool, and you can return to your day.
Why patients choose Cryocell
- Instant calming — cooling soothes heat and redness right away.
- Kind to sensitive skin — gentle, non-invasive care.
- Tighter-looking pores — cooling helps the skin feel firmer.
- Great after treatments — often used after lasers and peels.
Who is Cryocell for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- Your skin flushes red easily or feels hot and sensitive.
- You want calming care after a laser, peel or other treatment.
- You are bothered by enlarged pores and want a tightening feel.
- Your skin reacts to heat or irritating products.
- You want an immediate soothing effect with no downtime.
We may suggest something else if…
- You want to reduce swelling after a procedure. LDM supports circulation instead.
- Your skin is mainly dry and tight. Hydration Care focuses on moisture.
- You have persistent visible blood vessels or long-standing redness. Excel V may be discussed.
- You have cold sensitivity, such as cold urticaria. Tell Dr. Park; cooling care may not suit you.
What happens at your Cryocell session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Tell us about any redness, sensitivity, or treatments you plan the same day, such as lasers.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. Dr. Park reviews your skin and history. She checks redness, heat and skin sensitivity, and asks about any reaction to cold.
- Preparation & numbing. No separate anesthesia is needed. Your skin is cleansed gently.
- The treatment. A cooling handpiece is moved over the skin for about 15–20 minutes. It feels cool, refreshing and slightly tingly.
- Out the door & follow-up. You can return to daily life immediately. For regular calming care, come back every 1–2 weeks.
How Dr. Park plans your Cryocell treatment
Cryocell uses cooling technology to calm the skin. Dr. Park decides where to focus, such as flushed cheeks or areas that feel hot after a laser.
It is often used as a finishing step. Our skin package pairs Cryo Care with a full-face pico fractional laser, Exosomes 1cc and a soothing mask. The laser works on texture, exosomes support recovery, and cooling calms heat.
On its own, Cryocell can be repeated every 1–2 weeks. The cooling level is adjusted for comfort, especially on sensitive skin.
Cryocell results: what to expect and when
- Right after: skin feels cool and calm; redness looks reduced.
- Same day: pores may look tighter and skin more comfortable.
- Ongoing: regular sessions help keep sensitive skin settled (varies by person).
Side effects, risks and who should avoid Cryocell
Cryocell is a gentle cooling care and side effects are uncommon. Possible effects include:
- Temporary redness or a cold, tingling sensation
- Brief dryness
- Rarely, irritation in very sensitive skin
Not suitable if you: have cold urticaria, cryoglobulinaemia or Raynaud's phenomenon affecting the face; have an open wound or active skin infection in the area; or have a known sensitivity to cold. Tell your clinician about any skin conditions.
Cryocell vs LED Therapy, LDM and Hydration Care: which should you choose?
Several gentle cares can calm the skin; they differ in how they work.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cryocell | Cooling technology calms heat and redness | Redness, sensitivity, post-laser calming | None; back to daily life immediately | Varies; repeat every 1–2 weeks |
| LED Therapy | Specific light wavelengths support skin recovery | Sensitive or recovering skin | None; back to daily life immediately | Varies; repeat every 1–2 weeks |
| LDM | Low-frequency ultrasound supports circulation and lymph flow | Swelling and post-treatment recovery | None; back to daily life immediately | Varies; repeat every 1–2 weeks |
| Hydration Care | Facial care delivering intensive moisture and nutrients | Tight, dry, rough skin | None; back to daily life immediately | Varies; repeat every 1–2 weeks |
Choose Cryocell for instant cooling of heat and redness. Choose LED Therapy to support recovery with light. Choose LDM if swelling is the issue. Choose Hydration Care if your skin is mostly dry.

Downtime after Cryocell, and flying home
There is no downtime. Mild redness can appear right after and usually fades quickly. Most people find their skin feels calmer and cooler. On the day, avoid heavy makeup, saunas, jjimjilbang and hot baths. Moisturise well and wear sunscreen.
You can go sightseeing or catch a flight straight away. If Cryocell follows a laser, your downtime depends on the laser, not on Cryocell. Tell Dr. Park your flight date so the full plan fits. See our aftercare tips for travellers.

Does Cryocell help with rosy cheeks and redness?
It can calm redness for a period, especially when skin feels hot or irritated. Cooling helps soothe the skin quickly. It does not remove blood vessels or cure conditions such as rosacea. For flushing caused by heat or a recent treatment, regular Cryocell can be soothing. For persistent redness, Dr. Park may suggest assessment for other options. Tell her about triggers such as heat, alcohol or certain products. Gentle skincare and sunscreen support results. Redness that comes with pain, swelling or warmth should be checked by a doctor before cosmetic care.
Why add Cryocell after a laser?
Many lasers leave the skin warm and pink for a while. Cooling afterwards helps the skin feel calmer and more comfortable. That is why Cryo Care is included in our pico fractional laser package. It sits alongside exosomes and a soothing mask in the same visit. Cryocell does not replace the aftercare for the laser itself. Follow the laser aftercare Dr. Park gives you. If you feel unusual pain or heat after a laser, contact us. The cooling level is adjusted so that freshly treated skin stays comfortable throughout.
Can Cryocell shrink pores?
It may give a temporary tightening feel, which can make pores look smaller. The effect comes from cooling the skin surface. It is short-term and works well with regular care. Pores caused by oil, ageing or scarring may need other treatments too. For longer-lasting pore care, Dr. Park may discuss Skin Botox or Potenza. She will match the option to your skin. Cryocell is gentle enough to combine with many of these. Daily sunscreen and oil control at home also help pores look tidier over time.
