What is Wrinkle Filler?
Deep wrinkles such as nasolabial folds form mainly when the face loses volume and support, not just from movement. Wrinkle filler places hyaluronic acid beneath the fold to lift it from below, with the depth and direction adjusted to each line.
Lines caused mainly by muscle movement, such as frown lines, often respond better to Botox, and some packages combine both. Horizontal neck creases are treated with a softer gel (see neck line filler), and where sagging is part of the problem, filler may be paired with Jamber threads.
How Wrinkle Filler works
Filler is placed under the fold, following its depth and direction, to support it from beneath. The line looks shallower straight away as the gel replaces lost volume.
- Consultation: your doctor looks at each line at rest and with expression to decide whether filler, Botox, threads or a combination suits it.
- Treatment: after numbing cream, the filler is placed with a fine needle or blunt cannula in about 10–20 minutes.
- After: your doctor checks the shape and symmetry, and you can return to your day with mild swelling possible.
Why patients choose Wrinkle Filler
- Fills deep wrinkles — softens nasolabial folds and marionette lines.
- Tailored to each line — depth and direction are adjusted precisely.
- A more youthful contour — the lower face looks smoother and fresher.
- Easy to combine — pairs well with Botox or threads in one visit.
Who is Wrinkle Filler for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- You have nasolabial folds or marionette lines that stay visible at rest.
- You have creases beside the nose, sometimes called Indian lines.
- You have horizontal neck lines that have deepened over time.
- You want folds softened while keeping a natural expression.
- You want a visible change on the day, with the option to dissolve HA filler.
- You can avoid saunas, alcohol and hard workouts on the day of treatment.
We may suggest something else if…
- Your lines appear mainly when you frown, squint or raise your brows. Botox treats movement lines more directly.
- Your folds come mostly from sagging cheeks. Threads such as MINT Threads or a lifting treatment may help more.
- Your skin is crepey with many fine lines. A booster such as Belotero Revive targets skin quality.
- Your neck lines are very fine and widespread. Neck Line Filler is planned differently, often with Skin Botox.
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding or have an infection in the area. Treatment waits until this has resolved.
What happens at your Wrinkle Filler session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Send photos of the lines at rest and while smiling, and tell us which package interests you. Add your travel dates.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. She checks whether each line is static or from movement, and whether sagging is involved. She then suggests filler alone or a combination.
- Preparation & numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes. Each fold is marked while you sit upright.
- The treatment. Filler injecting takes about 10–20 minutes, longer if threads or Botox are added. You feel pressure and brief stinging.
- Out the door & follow-up. You can return to your day; mild swelling is possible. Message us if lumps, asymmetry or discomfort persist.
How Dr. Park plans your Wrinkle Filler treatment
Wrinkle filler is tailored to each line’s depth and direction. A deep fold needs support underneath, while a fine crease needs a softer, shallower placement.
Matching the plan to the line
Our listed packages show how plans differ. Nasolabial folds may use nasolabial fold filler 2cc, sometimes with Botox and 10 MINT mono threads. A JAMBER plan pairs 4 threads with nasolabial fold filler 2cc when sagging adds to the fold. Neck lines are treated 1 line at a time, with neck Skin Botox.
Full-face and natural results
For several areas, the Full-Face Filler 10cc (Korean-made) plan divides volume across the face. Dr. Park avoids filling folds completely, as some crease is natural when you smile. Results usually last about 6–12 months, with repeat treatment every 6–12 months.
Wrinkle filler results: what to expect and when
- Immediately: the change is visible as soon as treatment ends, often with some swelling.
- Days 2–7: swelling and any bruising settle.
- Weeks 2–4: the filler settles and softens; this is the right time to judge the result.
- Months 6–12: the filler is gradually absorbed and a top-up can maintain the result. Timing varies by person.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid wrinkle filler
Hyaluronic acid filler is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:
- Swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising at the injection sites (usually settles within a few days)
- Small lumps or slight unevenness, which often soften as the filler settles
- Rarely, infection, an allergic reaction or delayed lumps
- Very rarely, filler can block a blood vessel. Contact the clinic or seek urgent care immediately for severe pain, skin colour changes or changes in vision
Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an infection, cold sore or inflamed skin in the area; are allergic to hyaluronic acid filler ingredients or local anaesthetics such as lidocaine; have a history of severe allergic reactions; or have a bleeding disorder. Tell your doctor about all medications, especially blood thinners, and any previous filler or surgery in the area.
Wrinkle filler vs Botox and MINT threads: which should you choose?
Lines have different causes, so the right treatment depends on why your line formed.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wrinkle Filler | Hyaluronic acid fills static folds and creases | Nasolabial folds, marionette and neck lines | Immediate return; mild swelling possible | About 6–12 months |
| Botox | Relaxes overactive muscles behind expression lines | Frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet | Return to daily life immediately | About 3–6 months |
| MINT Threads | Dissolvable cog threads lift and anchor sagging tissue | Folds caused by sagging cheeks | Mild tightness and swelling for 2–3 days | About 6–12 months |
Choose wrinkle filler if the line stays visible at rest. Choose Botox if it appears mainly with expression. Choose MINT threads if sagging pulls the fold deeper. Combinations are common.

Downtime after Wrinkle Filler, and flying home
For 24–72 hours, mild swelling or a small bruise at injection points is common. Folds can feel firm at first as the filler settles. Avoid pressing or massaging the area, and avoid strong heat for 1–2 weeks. If threads were added, expect some tightness for a few days. Light makeup is usually fine from the next day.
Sightseeing is usually fine the same day. Skip saunas and the jjimjilbang for at least the first day, ideally 1–2 weeks. Avoid alcohol and hard exercise on the day. Tell Dr. Park your flight date. Leaving a day or two before a long flight lets us check you. Our aftercare guide for travellers has more tips.

Why does my nasolabial fold come back after filler?
Filler is gradually broken down, and the causes of the fold continue. Nasolabial folds deepen from volume loss, cheek descent and constant mouth movement. Filler fills the crease, but it cannot stop ageing or movement. Results usually last about 6–12 months, and folds near the mouth often fade sooner. If cheek sagging is a big factor, filling the fold alone may not hold well. That is why some plans add threads, as in our JAMBER package, or Botox. Ask Dr. Park which factor drives your fold.
Can filler treat neck lines?
Yes, deep horizontal neck lines can be softened with filler. A soft gel is placed shallowly and evenly along each crease. Our listed plans treat 1 line with neck Skin Botox, in Korean or imported filler. Skin Botox helps fine texture around the line, while filler fills the crease. Neck skin is thin, so small bumps may show for a few days. Very fine, widespread neck lines may respond better to a skin booster course. For details, see Neck Line Filler, or ask Dr. Park which approach fits your neck.
Will filling my smile lines make my face look puffy?
It should not if the amount and placement are planned well. Puffiness usually comes from overfilling a fold or treating it in isolation. Some crease is natural when you smile, so Dr. Park softens folds rather than erasing them. Sometimes supporting the cheek or adding threads makes the fold look shallower with less filler. Mild swelling in the first days can look fuller than the final result. Judge the outcome after swelling has settled. If you have had a lot of filler before, tell her so she can assess what remains.
Wrinkle Filler FAQ
How much does wrinkle filler cost in Busan?
At Art of Shine Clinic, filler for the creases beside the nose is KRW 149,000. Nasolabial fold filler 2cc with Botox and 10 MINT mono threads is KRW 190,000 (excl. 10% VAT). A Korean full-face 10cc plan is KRW 550,000 during the autumn event.
Does wrinkle filler hurt?
Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes first, and many fillers also contain a local anaesthetic. Most people feel pressure and mild stinging rather than sharp pain. The injections take about 10–20 minutes, and tenderness usually settles within a day or two.
How long does wrinkle filler last?
Wrinkle filler usually lasts about 6–12 months. Folds near the mouth move a lot, so they may need a top-up sooner than deeper, more static areas. Your metabolism, lifestyle and the product used also affect how long results last.
Can I go sightseeing or fly after wrinkle filler?
Yes, most people return to sightseeing straight away. Mild swelling or bruising can last a few days. Avoid saunas, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise on the day, and avoid pressing or massaging the area for 1–2 weeks. Mention any flight during your consultation.
Do I need wrinkle filler or Botox?
Filler treats static lines and folds caused by lost volume, such as nasolabial folds. Botox relaxes muscles to soften lines that appear with expression, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. Many people have both types of line, so your doctor may suggest combining them.
