#PLLABooster · #GradualVolume · #FirmingCare · #NaturalYouth
Olidia is a collagen booster based on PLLA that encourages your skin to make new collagen. Elasticity and volume build gradually over time for a naturally youthful look.
Quick answer: Olidia is a PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) collagen booster that stimulates your skin's own collagen to improve elasticity and add gradual, natural volume. At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, treatment takes about 10–20 minutes after numbing cream, with mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days. Results develop over weeks, usually across 3 or more sessions. Olidia Volume (365) is listed from KRW 590,000 per session (excl. 10% VAT).

What is Olidia?
Olidia is a collagen stimulator containing PLLA, a biodegradable material with a long history in aesthetic medicine. Instead of filling an area directly, it prompts the skin to produce new collagen, so firmness and volume improve gradually.
It is used for loss of elasticity and mild volume loss across the face. It belongs to the same collagen-stimulator group as Juvelook Volume(PDLLA) and Radiesse(calcium hydroxylapatite); your doctor will recommend the one that fits your goals.
How Olidia works
Once injected, PLLA particles are slowly broken down by the body. During this process they stimulate fibroblasts to form new collagen, which thickens and firms the skin over several weeks. Because the change is gradual, results look subtle and natural.
- Consultation: your doctor assesses skin laxity and volume loss and plans the dose and areas.
- Treatment: after numbing cream, Olidia is injected at the planned depth.
- After: collagen builds over the following weeks; further sessions are planned as advised.
Why patients choose Olidia
- Collagen stimulated by PLLA — uses an established collagen-stimulating ingredient.
- Volume that builds gradually — no sudden change, so results look natural.
- Firmness and elasticity — improves skin quality as well as volume.
- Subtle, youthful change — suits people who want to look refreshed, not different.
Who is Olidia for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- Your face has lost some fullness and firmness over the past few years.
- You want change that develops slowly over months, not overnight.
- You would rather stimulate your own collagen than place a gel filler.
- You have realistic expectations and can wait for gradual results.
- You can follow the aftercare carefully, including avoiding firm pressure on the area.
We may suggest something else if…
- You want a defined nose, chin or lip shape — precise HA fillers such as Juvederm are designed for that.
- Your main issue is texture or pores rather than volume — Juvelook Skin works more superficially.
- You need a result for an event very soon — collagen stimulators are slow; ask about Wrinkle Filler instead.
- You have a history of keloids, granulomas or autoimmune disease, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Dr. Park will advise waiting or another option.
What happens at your Olidia session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Send us on WhatsApp (+82 10-2689-0370) front and three-quarter photos, any previous filler history and your travel dates.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. She maps where volume is lost, checks skin thickness and asks about past fillers or threads. She explains the gradual timeline before you decide.
- Preparation and numbing. The skin is cleansed and numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes.
- The treatment. Placement takes about 10–20 minutes. You may feel pressure and mild stinging; the area can look a little full at first.
- Out the door and follow-up. Mild swelling or needle marks may last 1–2 days. Follow the aftercare closely and message us if a firm lump persists.
How Dr. Park plans your Olidia treatment
Choosing the zones
Dr. Park looks for broad areas that have flattened, such as the temples or the side of the cheek. She places Olidia evenly at a suitable depth rather than piling it into one point.
Dose and spacing
Our listed package is Olidia Volume (365) for one session. Further sessions, if needed, are spaced 2–4 weeks apart, and three or more are usually advised. She decides the total after seeing how your skin responds.
Keeping it natural
Because PLLA works through collagen, correction is built in layers. She stops when your face looks rested, not filled.
Olidia results: what to expect and when
- First days: some swelling may make the area look fuller; this settles in 1–2 days.
- Weeks 4–8: new collagen starts to improve firmness.
- After the series: the fullest result usually shows a few months after 3 or more sessions.
- Long term: results fade slowly; duration varies by person.
Results vary by person.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid Olidia
Olidia is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:
- Small bumps or visible injection marks for 1–2 days
- Redness, mild swelling or tenderness
- Bruising at some injection points, which fades over several days
- Rarely, infection, allergic reaction or persistent lumps — contact the clinic if anything worsens
Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active skin infection, cold sore or inflamed acne in the area; have a known allergy to any ingredient; have an uncontrolled autoimmune condition; or tend to form keloid scars. Tell your doctor about all medications, especially blood thinners.
Olidia vs Juvelook Volume and Radiesse: which should you choose?
These are all collagen-stimulating options, but their materials and speed differ.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Olidia | PLLA stimulates collagen gradually | Broad, gradual volume and firmness | Mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days | Varies; 3+ sessions advised |
| Juvelook Volume | PDLLA with hyaluronic acid | Mild hollows with skin-quality benefit | Mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days | Varies; 3+ sessions advised |
| Radiesse | Calcium-based filler plus collagen stimulation | Folds and neck lines, some immediate lift | Back to daily life; mild swelling possible | About 12–18 months |
Choose Olidia if you want slow, broad volume restoration. Choose Juvelook Volume if you also want skin-quality benefits. Choose Radiesse if you want some volume straight away.
Aftercare after Olidia
- For about 3–4 hours, avoid lying face-down and do not rub the treated area.
- On the day of treatment, skip saunas, hot baths, strenuous exercise and alcohol.

Downtime after Olidia, and flying home
Expect mild swelling, tenderness and a few needle marks for 1–2 days. For 3–4 hours, stay upright and do not rub the area. Avoid saunas, hot baths, alcohol and strenuous exercise that day. Do not massage or press firmly unless Dr. Park tells you to.
Light sightseeing is usually fine the same day, but leave jjimjilbang and spa visits until swelling has gone. Make-up can usually go on the next day once the needle points have closed. Tell Dr. Park your flight date. Leaving a day before a long flight lets her check any early lump. Read our aftercare tips for travellers.

What is the difference between Olidia and Sculptra-type PLLA treatments?
Both work on the same principle: PLLA particles prompt your body to build collagen. Products differ in particle size, formulation and how they are prepared. Those details affect handling and how evenly the product spreads. The underlying idea — slow, natural-looking volume rather than instant fill — is shared. Dr. Park chooses the product she knows suits your area and skin. She will also explain how many sessions she expects before you commit. If you have had another PLLA product before, tell her which one and when.
Why does Olidia take months to show results?
Olidia does not fill space directly. It triggers a gentle healing response that leads to new collagen. That process takes weeks to months, so the early fullness you see is mostly swelling and fluid. It fades within days, and the real change appears gradually after that. The slow pace is also why the result tends to look natural. Take photos before each session to track change, and avoid judging the outcome too early. Dr. Park will review progress with you at each follow-up visit.
Can Olidia cause lumps or nodules?
Small, temporary bumps are common in the first days and usually settle. Firm nodules are uncommon but are a known risk of PLLA treatments. Careful placement, even spreading and good aftercare lower that risk. Avoid firm pressure on the area unless the doctor advises otherwise. If you feel a firm lump that does not soften over a couple of weeks, message us on WhatsApp. Dr. Park will want to see it, and it is easier to manage early.
Olidia FAQ
How much does Olidia cost in Busan?
At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, Olidia Volume (365) is KRW 590,000 for one session. That is reduced from KRW 1,073,000 in our skin booster package (excl. 10% VAT). The plan and number of sessions depend on your skin.
Does Olidia hurt?
Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes first, so most people feel only light pricking and mild pressure. Sensitivity varies by area and person, and you can ask for a break at any time.
How long does Olidia last?
Olidia works by stimulating collagen, so results appear gradually and fade slowly. Most people are advised to have 3 or more sessions. How long the effect lasts varies with age, skin condition and lifestyle, and your doctor will suggest maintenance timing.
Can I go sightseeing or fly after Olidia?
Yes. Small bumps, redness or needle marks can last 1–2 days, but most people carry on with their day and can fly. Avoid saunas, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise on the day, and tell your doctor about your travel dates.
What is the difference between Olidia and Juvelook Volume?
Both are collagen stimulators that add volume gradually. Olidia uses PLLA, while Juvelook Volume uses PDLLA with hyaluronic acid. They differ in particle and formulation, so your doctor will choose based on the area, your skin and how you want the result to develop.
Who performs Olidia at Art of Shine Clinic?
Dr. Park Yoon-soo, our Head Director, examines your face and performs the treatment herself. She trained at Kyungpook National University School of Medicine and interned at Asan Medical Center.
Can Olidia be dissolved?
No. PLLA cannot be dissolved with an enzyme the way hyaluronic acid filler can. This is why Dr. Park builds results gradually across sessions. If reversibility matters to you, ask about an HA filler at consultation.
Do I need to book Olidia in advance?
Yes, booking ahead is recommended. Send your photos and dates on WhatsApp so we can reserve consultation and treatment time. Your consultation with Dr. Park happens on the day, before treatment.
