What happens at your Shurink Universe session in Seomyeon

1. Message us on WhatsApp first. Send a side-profile photo, the areas you want lifted, and whether you are interested in a combined package.
2. Consultation with Dr. Park. She checks laxity and fat at each zone, then plans the depths, cartridges and number of shots.
3. Preparation and numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes. The skin is then cleansed and a gel is applied.
4. The treatment. Focused ultrasound is delivered in lines over about 30–60 minutes. You may feel prickling or deep warmth, especially near the jaw bone.
5. Out the door and follow-up. There is no downtime. Monthly sessions are recommended; message us if tenderness lasts more than a few days.

How Dr. Park plans your Shurink Universe treatment

Treatment is counted in shots. Our options include a 100-shot trial, 300 shots for the face and 200 shots for the eye area. Body packages use 100 or 500 shots. Dr. Park places more shots along the jawline and under the chin. She uses fewer over thin or bony areas.

Different cartridges focus energy at different depths. Dr. Park chooses depths to match where the laxity is, rather than using one setting for the whole face. That helps the result look even and natural.

Monthly sessions are recommended, especially for a series. Because Shurink Universe works deep, it is often paired with a device for another layer. Our packages combine it with ONDA for fat or OligioX for skin tightening.

Shurink Universe results: what to expect and when

Side effects, risks and who should avoid Shurink Universe

Shurink Universe is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:

• Redness or mild swelling (usually settles within hours to a few days)
• Temporary tenderness or a bruised feeling along the jaw
• Rarely, temporary numbness, small welts or nerve irritation

Not suitable if you: are pregnant; have an active skin infection, open wound or severe acne in the area; have metal implants or a pacemaker near the treatment area (tell your doctor); or have very thin skin and little fat in the area. Tell your doctor about recent fillers, threads or other procedures in the area.

Shurink Universe vs Ulthera and ONDA: which should you choose?

Shurink Universe sits between budget maintenance and premium imaged ultrasound.

Choose Shurink Universe for affordable, repeatable lift. Choose Ulthera if you want imaging-guided placement for more marked sagging. Add ONDA if fullness is part of the problem.

Aftercare after Shurink Universe

• Redness or warmth right after treatment is normal and usually fades within a few days.
• On the day of treatment, avoid saunas, hot baths, strenuous exercise and alcohol.
• Apply sunscreen carefully for 1–2 weeks after treatment.
• Do not scratch or rub the treated area.
• Keep your skin well moisturised to help it settle.

Downtime after Shurink Universe, and flying home

Your skin may look a little pink, and some people find the jawline tender to touch for a day or two. Mild swelling is possible. Most people go straight back to sightseeing. On treatment day, avoid the sauna, jjimjilbang, hot baths, alcohol and intense workouts.

What is the difference between Shurink and Shurink Universe?

Shurink Universe is the newer version of the Shurink HIFU device. Both focus ultrasound at set depths to tighten deeper tissue. The newer platform is designed to treat faster and more comfortably.

In practice, both aim for the same kind of result: a firmer jawline and gradual lift. The plan, shot count and depth choice matter more than the version. If you had Shurink before, tell Dr. Park how it felt and how long it lasted. She can then adjust the energy and shot placement for your next session.

Is Shurink Universe as good as Ulthera?

They are different tools. Ulthera uses real-time ultrasound imaging, so the doctor sees the skin layers while placing energy. Shurink Universe does not image, but it is faster and usually more affordable.

For mild to moderate laxity and regular maintenance, many people find Shurink Universe a sensible choice. For more marked sagging, or if you want imaging-guided precision, Ulthera may suit you better. Some people alternate between them. Dr. Park will recommend one based on your skin, goals and budget.

How often can I repeat Shurink Universe?

A monthly rhythm is recommended for a series. After that, many people repeat it for maintenance at longer intervals. Results typically last about 6–12 months and vary by person.

Repeating too often without a plan is not helpful, because collagen needs time to respond. Dr. Park reviews your face at each visit and adjusts the shot count and depths. If you also have fillers or threads, mention them. She will plan around those areas. Sharing photos from earlier sessions also helps her judge how your skin has responded.
