OligioX is a monopolar radiofrequency (RF) device. Monopolar RF spreads heat evenly through the dermis, tightening collagen fibres and prompting new collagen to form over the following weeks. Built-in cooling protects the skin surface, and vibration helps distract from the heat.

It is used on the full face, the jawline and the delicate eye area, and helps with firmness, fine lines and pore appearance. It works on the same principle as Thermage FLX, and at Art of Shine Clinic it is often combined with Shurink Universe or Ultherapy for lifting at more than one depth.

How OligioX works

Monopolar RF energy heats the dermis evenly. Collagen fibres contract slightly at once, and the skin's healing response builds new collagen over the next few months for firmer, smoother skin.

What happens at your OligioX session in Seomyeon

1. Message us on WhatsApp first. Tell us whether you want the full face, the eye area or both, and send a clear photo in daylight.
2. Consultation with Dr. Park. She checks skin laxity, thickness and pores, and asks about implants, recent procedures and skin sensitivity.
3. Preparation. No anesthesia is usually needed, because the tip cools the skin. The face is cleansed and a coupling layer is applied.
4. The treatment. RF pulses are delivered over about 30–60 minutes with cooling and vibration. You feel warmth that builds briefly with each pulse.
5. Out the door and follow-up. There is no downtime, and redness fades quickly. Monthly sessions are recommended; send us a photo on WhatsApp if anything concerns you.

How Dr. Park plans your OligioX treatment

OligioX is planned by shots and zones. Our packages use 300 or 600 shots for the face. A dedicated eye package uses 100 shots for the eye area. Dr. Park chooses the count based on how large the area is and how loose the skin feels.

For lifting at more than one depth, she often pairs OligioX with another device. Our packages combine it with Shurink Universe or Ultherapy for deeper layers, or ONDA 30,000 J for the fat layer. The eye package adds Rejuran and skin Botox for fine crepey lines.

Monthly sessions are recommended for building firmness, then spaced out for maintenance. Energy is kept at a level you can tolerate, which gives steady, natural-looking results rather than sudden change.

OligioX results: what to expect and when

Side effects, risks and who should avoid OligioX

OligioX is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:

• Redness, warmth or mild swelling (usually settles within hours to a few days)
• Temporary tenderness
• Rarely, burns or blisters

Not suitable if you: have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device; have metal implants in the treatment area; are pregnant; have an active skin infection, open wound or cold sore in the area; or tend to form keloid scars. Tell your doctor about recent fillers, threads or other procedures in the area.

OligioX vs Thermage FLX, Alltite and Shurink Universe: which should you choose?

These devices are often compared by price and comfort, but the depth they reach differs.

Choose OligioX for comfortable RF firming, including around the eyes. Choose Thermage FLX if you prefer one session a year. Add Shurink Universe if you also want deeper lift.

Aftercare after OligioX

• Redness or warmth right after treatment is normal and usually fades within a few days.
• On the day of treatment, avoid saunas, hot baths, strenuous exercise and alcohol.
• Apply sunscreen carefully for 1–2 weeks after treatment.
• Do not scratch or rub the treated area.
• Keep your skin well moisturised to help it settle.

Downtime after OligioX, and flying home

Most people leave with slight pinkness that fades within hours. You can visit cafés, markets or the beach straight afterwards. Avoid the sauna, jjimjilbang, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise for the rest of the day. Do not scratch or rub the treated skin.

Is OligioX the same as Thermage?

No, but they work on the same principle. Both are monopolar RF devices that heat the dermis evenly to tighten collagen and stimulate new growth. The difference lies in the device, the cooling and vibration system, and the price.

Thermage FLX is the long-established original and is usually done once every 6–12 months. OligioX is a newer device, often chosen for regular sessions at a lower cost per session. Results depend more on your skin, the shot count and the plan than on the brand name. Dr. Park can compare both for your face and budget.

Can OligioX be used around the eyes?

Yes. OligioX can treat the eye area, including crepey lids and fine lines around the lower eyelid. Our signature eye package combines Eye Oligio X 100 shots with Eye Rejuran 1cc and eye-area skin Botox.

Energy is set lower around the eyes because the skin is thinner. Protective measures are used to keep the eyes safe during treatment. If you wear contact lenses, bring your case and glasses. If you have had eyelid surgery or under-eye filler, tell Dr. Park first. She will check whether the area is ready for RF.

Why is OligioX recommended monthly?

Because collagen builds gradually after each session. A series of monthly treatments adds to that effect before it settles. Once your skin reaches a level you like, sessions are usually spaced further apart.

One session still gives some tightening, so it can fit a single Busan trip. If you visit regularly, plan a short series instead. Dr. Park will suggest a rhythm based on your age, skin thickness and goals. Your budget and travel schedule also shape the plan, so share them on WhatsApp.
