Focused ultrasound creates tiny heated points at precise depths under real-time imaging. The SMAS and deeper skin contract, and collagen renewal over the next months gives a gradual lift.

What happens at your Ultherapy PRIME session in Seomyeon

1. Message us on WhatsApp first. Tell us whether you want face, neck or both. Send a side-profile photo, and mention any previous Ulthera treatment.
2. Consultation with Dr. Park. She examines sagging and skin thickness, then plans depths, zones and the number of shots.
3. Preparation and numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes. A gel is then applied so the transducer can image the skin.
4. The treatment. The screen shows the skin layers, and energy is placed line by line over about 30–60 minutes. Expect deep prickling near bone.
5. Out the door and follow-up. There is no downtime. Lift develops over 2–6 months; send us a photo at about three months for a review.

How Dr. Park plans your Ultherapy PRIME treatment

Face: 300 shots

Our face package uses Ultherapy PRIME Lift 300 shots. Dr. Park concentrates them where lift shows most, usually the jawline, lower cheeks and under the chin. The brow area may be included if it suits your face.

Neck: 200 shots plus skin quality

The neck package uses 200 shots, combined with Juvelook Skin 4cc and neck skin Botox. Ultrasound lifts the deeper layers. Juvelook supports collagen in the skin, and skin Botox softens fine neck lines.

Precision and spacing

The upgraded imaging helps her see each layer clearly before placing energy. Depth is chosen zone by zone, which supports an even, natural lift. Most people repeat treatment every 6–12 months.

Side effects, risks and who should avoid Ultherapy PRIME

Ultherapy PRIME is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:

• Redness or mild swelling (usually settles within hours to a few days)
• Tenderness or a bruised feeling, especially along the jaw, for a few days to weeks
• Rarely, temporary numbness, bruising, welts or nerve irritation

Not suitable if you: are pregnant; have an active skin infection, open wound or severe acne in the area; have metal implants or a pacemaker near the treatment area (tell your doctor); or have very thin skin and little fat in the area. Tell your doctor about recent fillers, threads or other procedures in the area.

Aftercare after Ultherapy PRIME

• Redness or warmth right after treatment is normal and usually fades within a few days.
• On the day of treatment, avoid saunas, hot baths, strenuous exercise and alcohol.
• Apply sunscreen carefully for 1–2 weeks after treatment.
• Do not scratch or rub the treated area.
• Keep your skin well moisturised to help it settle.

Downtime after Ultherapy PRIME, and flying home

Expect mild redness that fades within hours. The jaw or neck may feel tender for a few days, and slight swelling is possible. You can head out for sightseeing straight after. Skip the sauna, jjimjilbang, hot baths, alcohol and hard exercise on the day.

If you also had Juvelook Skin or skin Botox, avoid pressing or massaging the treated areas. Makeup is usually fine once redness settles. Wear sunscreen for 1–2 weeks. Flying is generally fine; tell Dr. Park your flight date so she can time any injectables. See our aftercare tips for travellers.

Is Ultherapy PRIME better than the original Ulthera?

It is newer, not a different principle. Both use micro-focused ultrasound with on-screen imaging to reach the SMAS layer. PRIME upgrades the imaging and hardware to make treatment more precise and efficient.

For many people, results depend more on the plan and the doctor's placement than on the platform. If you have had Ulthera and liked it, either can work. If you want the newest system or a neck package, PRIME may be the choice. Dr. Park can compare our current packages for your face and budget.

Can Ultherapy PRIME lift a sagging neck?

Yes, the neck is one of its common treatment areas. Focused ultrasound tightens the deeper tissue under the jaw and along the neck. Changes build gradually over 2–6 months.

Our neck package combines Ultherapy PRIME Neck 200 shots with Juvelook Skin 4cc and neck skin Botox. That addresses looseness, skin quality and fine lines together. Deep horizontal neck lines may need additional care, such as filler. Very loose neck skin may have limits with non-surgical treatment, and Dr. Park will explain what is realistic.

How long after Ultherapy PRIME can I have filler or Botox?

Skin Botox and Juvelook Skin can be done on the same day, as in our neck package. For other fillers or injectables, Dr. Park decides the order and timing at consultation.

In general, energy treatment is often done before injectables in the same session. This avoids heating newly placed product. If you had filler recently, tell her the date, area and product. She may adjust depth or avoid that zone. Planning everything in one consultation helps on a short trip.
