What is Retigen?
Retigen is a skin booster delivered directly into the skin through fine micro-injections. It aims to replenish nutrients and hydration, supporting a smoother texture and a clearer, brighter-looking tone.
It suits dull, tired or dehydrated skin. For a brightening focus you may also consider the Snow White Injection, and for hydration alone, Re2O. Your doctor will help you choose based on your skin.
How Retigen works
Placing nourishing and hydrating ingredients within the skin delivers them where skin cells are active. Over a series of sessions, the skin tends to look smoother, more even and more radiant.
- Consultation: your doctor reviews your skin tone and texture and confirms the plan.
- Treatment: after numbing cream, Retigen is injected in small, even points across the treatment area.
- After: you can return to daily life; repeat sessions every 2–4 weeks build the result.
Why patients choose Retigen
- Texture and tone together — addresses roughness and dullness in one treatment.
- Nutrients and moisture — replenishes the skin from within.
- Clearer, fresher look — aimed at tired, dull skin.
- Quick appointment — about 10–20 minutes after numbing cream.
Who is Retigen for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- Your skin looks dull and tired, with an uneven, flat tone.
- Texture has become rougher and fine lines are more noticeable.
- Your skin feels undernourished despite a good home routine.
- You want a booster that targets tone and texture together.
- You can plan a series of sessions 2–4 weeks apart.
We may suggest something else if…
- Brown spots or melasma are the main issue — a laser such as Pico Toning targets pigment directly.
- Dryness is your biggest complaint — Re2O focuses on hydration.
- You want repair for thin, fragile skin — Rejuran Healer is a common first choice.
- You have an active infection, inflamed acne in the area, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. We will postpone treatment.
What happens at your Retigen session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Send us on WhatsApp (+82 10-2689-0370) a photo in daylight, a note on what bothers you about your tone, and your dates.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. She looks at tone, texture, pigment and sensitivity. She decides whether Retigen alone or with a laser or another booster suits you.
- Preparation and numbing. We cleanse your skin and apply numbing cream for about 20–30 minutes.
- The treatment. Injections take around 10–20 minutes. You feel brief pricks and see small bumps where the product sits.
- Out the door and follow-up. Mild swelling or needle marks may last 1–2 days. Your next session is usually 2–4 weeks later.
How Dr. Park plans your Retigen treatment
Retigen is delivered in fine, shallow deposits across the face. Dr. Park concentrates on areas where dullness and texture are most visible, often the cheeks and forehead.
Our listed package is 2cc per session (shown on the price list as Letigen 2cc). Sessions follow every 2–4 weeks, and three or more are usually advised.
The goal is clearer, healthier-looking skin. If pigment is the root cause of dullness, she may add toning so each treatment does its own job.
Retigen results: what to expect and when
- First days: injection marks settle within 1–2 days.
- Weeks 1–3: skin may feel more hydrated and look fresher.
- After 3 sessions: texture and tone improvements are most consistent.
- Ongoing: how long results last varies by person.
Results vary by person.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid Retigen
Retigen is generally well tolerated when performed by a doctor. Possible side effects include:
- Small bumps or visible injection marks for 1–2 days
- Redness, mild swelling or tenderness
- Bruising at some injection points, which fades over several days
- Rarely, infection, allergic reaction or persistent lumps — contact the clinic if anything worsens
Not suitable if you: are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active skin infection, cold sore or inflamed acne in the area; have a known allergy to any ingredient; have an uncontrolled autoimmune condition; or tend to form keloid scars. Tell your doctor about all medications, especially blood thinners.
Retigen vs Snow White Injection, Re2O and Pico Toning: which should you choose?
Dull skin has several causes, so the right option depends on what lies behind it.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Retigen | Booster replenishing nutrients and moisture | Dull tone with rough texture | Mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days | Varies; 3+ sessions advised |
| Snow White Injection | Brightening and hydrating booster | Dull, dry, uneven-looking tone | Mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days | Varies; 3+ sessions advised |
| Re2O | Hyaluronic acid hydration | Dehydration and glow | Mild swelling or needle marks for 1–2 days | Varies; 3+ sessions advised |
| Pico Toning | Picosecond laser breaks up pigment | Melasma and pigment spots | Back to daily life immediately | Varies by individual |
Choose Retigen if dullness comes with rough texture. Choose Pico Toning if pigment is the cause, and Re2O if your skin is simply dehydrated.
Aftercare after Retigen
- For about 3–4 hours, avoid lying face-down and do not rub the treated area.
- On the day of treatment, skip saunas, hot baths, strenuous exercise and alcohol.
- Do not massage or press firmly on the treated area.
- Temporary swelling, bruising or tenderness can occur and usually settles on its own.
- Results and how long they last vary with your skin condition and lifestyle.

Downtime after Retigen, and flying home
Expect small bumps for a few hours and faint needle marks for 1–2 days. For 3–4 hours, do not lie face-down or rub your skin. That day, avoid alcohol, saunas, hot baths and intense exercise.
You can usually go sightseeing straight after. Leave the jjimjilbang until the marks have faded. Save make-up for the next day. Use sunscreen daily, because sun exposure undoes tone improvements. Let Dr. Park know your flight date at consultation. Read our aftercare tips for travellers.

Is Retigen the same as Letigen?
Yes. Our price list shows the product as Letigen 2cc, a different romanisation of the same Korean name. You may see either spelling online or on clinic menus in Korea. When you message us, either name will reach the right treatment. If you have seen a product under another brand name and want to check whether it is the same, send us a photo or link. Dr. Park can confirm what is used at your visit. Our price list currently uses the Letigen spelling, so do not be confused by it.
What results can I expect from Retigen?
Most people describe skin that looks clearer, smoother and less tired after a series. Change is gradual, not dramatic, and it builds across sessions. Retigen does not remove dark spots or melasma, and it does not lift sagging skin. Results depend on your skin type, sun exposure, sleep and routine. Taking photos in the same light before each visit is the most reliable way to judge progress. Dr. Park reviews these with you and adjusts the plan. Daily sunscreen protects the improvement between sessions.
Can I combine Retigen with laser toning?
Yes, they are often used together because they work differently. Laser toning targets pigment, while Retigen supports texture and nourishment within the skin. Dr. Park will decide the order and whether both can be done on the same day. Sensitive or recently irritated skin may need them on separate visits. Combining can make sense for travellers with limited time in Busan. Ask on WhatsApp for a combined quote before your trip. Include your travel dates so she can suggest a realistic schedule.
