#SebaceousCare · #AcneLaser · #RecurringAcne · #InflammationCare
The Accure laser targets the oil (sebaceous) glands that drive acne. It helps reduce recurring breakouts and excess oil while calming inflammation, supporting healthier, more stable skin.
Quick answer: Accure is an acne laser that uses a 1726 nm wavelength, absorbed mainly by sebum, to heat and shrink overactive oil glands while temperature monitoring and cooling help protect the skin surface. At Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon, Busan, a session takes about 20–30 minutes after numbing cream, followed by about 3–7 days of skin recovery. Sessions are usually repeated every 3–4 weeks. Pricing is confirmed at consultation.

What is Accure Laser?
Acne starts in the oil glands: excess sebum, clogged pores, bacteria and inflammation combine to form spots. The Accure laser uses a 1726 nm wavelength that sebum absorbs more strongly than the surrounding tissue, so energy can be focused on the oil glands to reduce their activity rather than only treating spots on the surface.
It is aimed at people whose acne keeps coming back. Your doctor may combine it with Extraction to clear blocked pores, or suggest Agnes for acne that recurs in the same spots. For acne scars and enlarged pores, Potenza is often used.
How Accure Laser works
Laser energy is absorbed by sebum within the oil glands, gently heating them so they produce less oil over time. Built-in cooling and temperature control help keep the skin surface protected during treatment.
- Consultation: your doctor reviews your acne history, current skin care and medications, and decides whether Accure suits you.
- Treatment: after about 30 minutes of numbing cream, the laser is applied across the acne-prone areas for about 20–30 minutes.
- After: the skin is soothed and sunscreen is applied. Mild redness can last a few days, and the next session is usually in 3–4 weeks.
Why patients choose Accure Laser
- Targets the source — works on the oil glands behind acne.
- For recurring acne — aims to reduce how often breakouts return.
- Calms inflammation — helps settle active, inflamed skin.
- Skin-surface protection — cooling and temperature control during treatment.
Who is Accure Laser for — and when we suggest something else
Good candidates
- Adults with acne that keeps coming back despite good skincare.
- People with oily skin who see new breakouts across the cheeks, chin or forehead.
- People who want to target the oil glands behind breakouts, not just treat each spot.
- People with enlarged pores linked to excess sebum.
- Anyone able to plan a series of sessions every 3–4 weeks.
We may suggest something else if…
- Acne returns in exactly the same few spots. Agnes treats individual glands with insulated needles.
- You have a single painful, swollen lesion right now. An Anti-Inflammatory Injection calms it faster.
- Your skin is mostly clogged with blackheads and whiteheads. Extraction clears pores first.
- Your acne has settled but left dents and scars. Potenza is designed for scar texture.
- You are pregnant, or have a fresh sunburn or broken skin. We usually wait and discuss other options.
What happens at your Accure Laser session in Seomyeon
- Message us on WhatsApp first. Send a photo of your skin and list any acne medicines you use or have used recently.
- Consultation with Dr. Park. She looks at where and how often you break out, and how oily your skin is. She checks current medicines and decides whether Accure fits.
- Preparation and numbing. Your face is cleansed and numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes.
- The treatment. The laser treats the area for about 20–30 minutes. You feel heat and some stinging, eased by cooling.
- Out the door and follow-up. Expect a skin recovery period of about 3–7 days. Plan the next session in 3–4 weeks, and message us if redness worsens.
How Dr. Park plans your Accure Laser treatment
Accure uses a laser wavelength that is absorbed by sebum, so energy concentrates in the oil glands. The aim is to reduce the gland activity that drives breakouts, while the skin surface is cooled.
Dr. Park chooses the zones to treat based on where your acne actually appears. Oily T-zones and a breakout-prone jawline may need different attention. She also adjusts settings to skin sensitivity and current inflammation.
Sessions are spaced every 3–4 weeks. Improvement builds over a series, and some people see a short-term flare first. Dr. Park reviews progress at each visit and may pair Accure with extraction or calming care.
Accure Laser results: what to expect and when
- First few days: redness and mild swelling; a short-term breakout can occur.
- Weeks 2–4: skin may feel less oily.
- After several sessions: fewer new breakouts for many people.
- Following months: improvement can continue as oil glands settle. Results vary by person.
Side effects, risks and who should avoid Accure Laser
Accure is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects include:
- Redness, swelling, warmth and tenderness (usually settle within about 3–7 days)
- A temporary flare of breakouts
- Mild crusting or dryness
- Rarely, blistering or temporary darkening of the skin
Not suitable if you: are pregnant; have an active skin infection or cold sore in the area; have recently taken isotretinoin (your doctor will advise on timing); take medication that makes your skin sensitive to light; or have a fresh tan or sunburn.
Accure Laser vs Agnes, Potenza and Extraction: which should you choose?
All four help acne-prone skin, but at different stages.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for | Downtime | Results last |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Accure Laser | Laser energy absorbed by sebum targets oil glands | Recurring acne across an area, excess sebum | Skin recovery of about 3–7 days | Varies by person; sessions every 3–4 weeks |
| Agnes | Insulated needles deliver RF into individual glands | Acne that recurs in the same spots | Skin recovery of about 3–7 days | Varies by person; sessions every 3–4 weeks |
| Potenza | Microneedle RF remodels collagen | Acne scars, pores, texture | Skin recovery of about 3–7 days | Varies by person; sessions every 3–4 weeks |
| Extraction | Sterile removal of sebum and comedones | Clogged pores, early acne | Temporary redness for 1–2 days | Varies by person; every 2–4 weeks |
Choose Accure if breakouts spread across an area and keep returning. Choose Agnes if the same few spots flare again and again. Choose Potenza once acne is controlled and scars are the main concern.

Downtime after Accure Laser, and flying home
For the first 3–7 days the skin can look red and feel warm. Some people notice a temporary breakout as glands respond. Sightseeing is possible, but wear sunscreen for 1–2 weeks and avoid scratching or rubbing.
Skip saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths, hard exercise and alcohol on the day of treatment. Light makeup is usually possible once redness calms; ask on the day. Flying is generally fine, but keep skin moisturised on board. Tell Dr. Park your flight date, ideally leaving a few days before you fly. Read our aftercare tips for travellers.

Why does acne sometimes flare after Accure laser?
A short-term flare can happen as treated oil glands respond. Heat in the gland can bring existing, hidden blockages to the surface. This usually settles within the recovery period.
A flare does not mean the treatment failed. Still, it is worth planning around if you have photos or events. Do not pick at new spots. Message us on WhatsApp if a lesion becomes very painful or swollen. Dr. Park may calm it with an injection or adjust your next session.
Can I have Accure laser while taking acne medication?
Tell Dr. Park about every acne medicine you use, including creams and tablets. Some oral acne medicines, such as isotretinoin, make skin more fragile and slower to heal. Many clinicians are cautious about energy treatments while you take them.
Topical retinoids and exfoliating acids can also make skin more sensitive. You may be asked to pause them for a few days before and after treatment. Never stop a prescribed medicine without checking with the doctor who prescribed it. Dr. Park will advise what is safe in your case.
How is Accure different from a regular acne laser or peel?
Most peels and many acne lights work on the skin surface, bacteria or inflammation. Accure is designed to target the oil glands themselves. That makes it a fit for acne driven by excess sebum.
Peels such as Black Peel are still useful for clearing dead skin and refreshing tone. Many plans combine approaches. Dr. Park may use Accure for gland activity and gentler care between sessions. The right mix depends on your skin type, acne pattern and travel schedule.
Accure Laser FAQ
How much does the Accure laser cost in Busan?
Accure pricing depends on the treatment area and the number of sessions your doctor recommends, so there is no fixed online price. Ask us on WhatsApp for a quote before your visit to Art of Shine Clinic in Seomyeon. Prices are in KRW and exclude 10% VAT.
Does Accure laser treatment hurt?
You will feel heat and some stinging as the laser works on the oil glands. Numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes beforehand, and cooling during treatment helps keep you comfortable. The treatment itself takes about 20–30 minutes.
How many Accure sessions do I need?
Most people need a series of sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart. Your doctor will suggest a number based on how active your acne is. Improvement builds gradually, and how long results last varies from person to person.
Can I go sightseeing or fly after Accure?
Yes, you can go out the same day, but expect redness for a few days, and possibly a short-term breakout. Wear sunscreen, avoid saunas, hot baths, strenuous exercise and alcohol on the day, and keep your skin moisturised if you fly.
What is the difference between Accure and Agnes?
Both target the oil glands that cause acne. Accure uses a laser wavelength absorbed by sebum to treat a whole area. Agnes places a fine insulated needle into individual glands and releases radiofrequency energy at the tip. This suits acne that recurs in the same spots.
Who performs Accure laser at Art of Shine Clinic?
Dr. Park Yoon-soo, our Head Director, assesses your skin and plans your treatment. She graduated from Kyungpook National University School of Medicine and completed her internship at Asan Medical Center.
Do I need a consultation before my first Accure session?
Yes. Dr. Park checks your acne pattern and any medicines first. Ask on WhatsApp whether treatment can follow in the same visit, and allow about 30 minutes extra for numbing.
Do foreign patients pay the same price?
Prices are quoted in KRW, exclude 10% VAT and are paid at the clinic on the day of your visit. Because Accure has no fixed online price, confirm your quote on WhatsApp before you travel.
